He looked at her as if extremely shocked by what she had just said but then, he controlled his emotions and asked, "And why do you think I will listen to a prisoner? Especially someone as ugly as you are?"
Hazel's mind became mixed up with different emotions. She just did not know what to say. She was so sleepy and tired now. Just so tired that all she needed was her bed but then, knowing that she was going to end up sleeping on a rock surface or a sandy surface only creased the pain in her body.
She longed for home. She truly needed to rest, she could not bear all the things that were happening to her anymore but then, the thoughts relating to Micah suddenly came into her brain from nowhere in particular.
What would she tell him if she ended up being freed from the hands of werewolves? That...that she threw herself naked for a man even when he had not seen her naked before?
" Please you...you don't need to put down my cloth, I can just show you. It's just on my waist. I can show you without having to show my entire body."
"What is it that you are keeping?" She heard his voice a little hoarser. "How useful will your nakedness be when you end up being torn into pieces by the prince?"
Hazel did not understand anything that he had said, instead, she took her both hands that were cuffed together and took out the small weapon-like object that she kept in her hair.
He looked curious as he stared at her, "What is that?"
"My....my hairpin." She was even surprised when she saw the pin still fixed in her hair. She had thought that it would have fallen due to how thoroughly they had dragged her head but she still believed that she could still find it there.
Even for a second, she had prayed initially that the needle should injure whoever plunged into her hair but it did nothing.
He looked at her.
Hazel took the pin and brought it beside her clothed waist. In a second, she put the pin close enough and suck it into her cloth. Immediately, a tearing sound pinged into the air loudly and she stopped whatever she was doing. She looked up at the bleeding man before putting back the pin in her hair just the exact place she had taken it from.
"What did you just do now?" His voice went down straight into her ear.
"I. I...you told me...no." She breathed hard. "I...I don't know. You told me to stop whatever I was doing." She looked troubled as her gaze fell down his chest and she continued,
"No. You said you wanted to see the birthmark. It is right here." She pointed at the tear that was exposing her waist. She was careful enough not to cast unto herself another scar when she dived the pin into her wet gown so that she would not end up regretting it, especially when it was on her birthmark.
Before she knew it, he took the needle from her and held it towards her face, "What did I tell you not to do?"
"...."
"I told you not to expose that mark to anyone and you tore that exact place?" He paused, "What the bleeding hell do you intend to pull out here, now?"
Though Hazel was scared at his sudden outburst, she did not hesitate to voice out her own opinion this time. Just because she was a prisoner didn't mean she had no self-value. "I don't care a bit about whatever you are saying. What happens if he sees it?" She stopped for a while and looked deeply into his eyes, "If the alpha crown prince is kind then does that mean he would free me when he sees this mark?"
She added, "Is that the freaking reason you want me to hide it?"
"Shut your mouth up, you fool!"
"I am not. And now that you are like this, I am so curious to know what happens once he sees the mark. Would he set me free and stop the entire fight between the werewolves and the vampires?"
"In your dreams," he said, instead.
"I will like to see what happens, then," she shouted, finally exhausted as all the ounce in her flew right off the window.
"Once he sees the mark, you won't be the same in his eyes anymore. He would even kill you!"
"Are you concerned?" Her voice came out like a whisper.
"I am only concerned because if that happens, he will lose his mind."
Hazel looked at him, trying to tell if whatever he was saying was nothing but the truth but then, it was hard figuring out so she just smiled. "I will definitely like to see that happen to him and all of his kind. I don't care!" She said, slowly but then, she had not known that she had pulled someone's nerve. Just the exact time she said it, Ethan turned her around and hit her head on the wall, in annoyance.
She fell slowly, unconscious.
