"Why are you crying? Where does it hurt?" As his hands flapped at the unexpected crisis, he still kept his voice calm.

  He was non-threatening on the outside but sheer panic on the inside. 

With one stride toward the crib, Apollyon's arm shot out to rest his fingertips on the howling girl's forehead to check if she was ill.

  Fortunately, the delicate one, whose tearful eyes had the same color as his, was merely blood-warm to the touch so there was nothing wrong with it. 

Did it cry after her twin sister tapped her on the face?

  Damn. 

He bit the inside of his cheek and stared them down.
