Thought this would be something unique. it's not. guy just has a temporary booster. not even a special ability. it even starts off way into his life, so there is next to no character development - he's basically already reached a high point. author relies on quick mentioned details to explain anything. although the writing is well done, the execution is terrible. I do not recommend this book. nearly any other book would be a better use of time...
the first chapter make me think that this could be a good novel, but to be honest, this is trash. I Iike the fact that the world building is gradual instead of info dump but the plot itself is totally the same old sh**.
