Jung-In had greeted the news, through shouts of celebration among his Hwrang companions, out on the training field, shooting arrows. No more death looming over young lives, no more shortages of fine irons and imported goods, no more reason to worry about his folk passing through a harsh upcoming winter. No more time to beguile Soo-Ah. Unbeknownst to anyone, he was ready to act on his plans. The upcoming festival was the perfect occasion.

But first, there was one thing he needed to do. 

Since soldiers were due to arrive in great numbers, the inns and the tea houses in town were kept open all day, reasoning, it was good to start the celebration early. Good news had a way of opening the purse of noble patrons.
