章 164: Sealed Records

Roberto wasn't having much luck with Artie hacking into Hazel Sheffield's sealed files once he got back to L.A. It was time to try Plan B.

Ray was a coward but he was a useful one. If he managed to convey that this had nothing to do with his search for the boss's identity, he might go for it. But that would be tricky considering he already knew what Roberto was up to.

A lot of people did at this point even though he had tried his best to keep it secret. He and Artie were the only ones with the details—such as where Gold actually was and his first name—so if they did get caught for this, they would be the only ones going down for it.

He had to make sure that didn't happen. Obviously he wanted to live.

Besides, if he and Gold were both gone, the ring would fall into utter chaos. Most of the guys here were surprisingly stupid considering they were involved in successful organized crime.
