章 14: You can have my body
Daphne adjusted her makeup in the food store room. If Kian wasn't going to have a proper talk with her like an adult, she was going to make him agree to go out with her in a different way. Kian made it impossible to flirt with him, but Daphne was sure that this time around, he wouldn't be able to escape from her. As long as Esther did what she was supposed to do, everything was going to go according to her plans.
Esther felt nervous sweat break out of her forehead as she followed Kian to the storeroom where Daphne was secretly waiting for him. Having a conversation with Kian made Esther uncomfortable even though it was only a short conversation about what Mr Mateo wanted them to do, something that had to do with the storeroom. The only reason Esther lied using Mr Mateo's name was that she was afraid that Kian wouldn't care about a request that didn't come from Mr Mateo. And since Esther and Kian barely spoke to each other, he had no reason to distrust her.
"Let's be fast with this. I still have a job to do inside." Kian grumbled under his breath as Esther took in a deep breath and opened the door.
'this for Daphne.' Esther reminded herself again as she stepped into the storeroom.
"Daphne," Kian called out in irritation. Suspicion lingered on his facial features as he turned to look at Esther who was already running out of the storeroom.
"I'm sorry. She made me do it." Esther closed the door and padlocked it before Kian could run after her. Later she was going to come back and check on Daphne.
Kian hit the door continuously, he barged his arm against the door in an attempt to open the door. But all his attempts were futile, the door had already been locked from outside.
"Why won't this door open?" Kian asks with anger in his voice.
Daphne sat down. She silently watches him, waiting patiently for him to stop his tantrum and face her. How was he going to avoid her now? There was no way out. She wouldn't have thought of locking him up only if he had listened to her. His rude actions were the only thing making her go this far.
"Let me out?!" Kian scream.
"I wouldn't scream if I were you," Daphne said as she smiled to herself. Although she didn't know much about Kian she knew that he liked his job. If not, why else would he have allowed those group of guys who had come to the cafe the other day to insult him? "If you continue screaming, you are going to alert everyone at the cafe. Imagine what people would think if they came here and realized that both of us have been here for a long time. What would Mr Mateo think?" Daphne asks in a manipulative voice. "Even if you try to convince them about the truth, who's going to believe you? Because your truth and mine are going to be different." Daphne used her finger to play with the upper button of her shirt. "I'm sure you don't want to lose your job."
Kian turned to Daphne.
Daphne let out a mischievous chuckle when she saw the movement in his eyes and how uncomfortable he looked. He was finally showing her a different emotion that wasn't his usual grumpy expression. And to Daphne, he was cute like a trapped lost puppy. His eyes kept moving between Daphne's face and her finger that was playing with her button.
"What are you doing?" Kian asked as Daphne unbuttoned the first button of her shirt. Her fingers moved to the second button and played with it, just like the first.
Kian quickly averted his gaze from Daphne's chest. "Why are you doing this?" He focused his gaze on Daphne's face but turned away from her heated gaze and looked at the floor. "Let's talk. You wanted to talk to me about something right? Let's just talk, there's no need for you to take your clothes off." He said with a shaky voice.
Daphne watches Kian like a predator. He was struggling hard not to look at her. But his eyes still watch as she unbuttoned the second part of her dress.
Kian blushed as he stared at Daphne's black lace bra that was half on display.
in the end, he's just a man. Nothing special about him.' Daphne thought. She wanted Kian to fall for her trick but at the same time, a part of her wanted him to resist her.
The current expression on Kian face reminded Daphne of most of the men she had grown up with. Her late father was barely an exception. After he had fallen for Daphne's mother whom he had later referred to as a prostitute, he no longer fell for women because they seduce him and he was attracted to their body. But his flint with Nanny Elina before his death made Daphne wonder if her father had truly changed or if he was still the same man.
Daphne didn't want to be like her mother, she didn't want a man who was like her father even though she loved her father. She wanted to button her shirt and hate Kian for staring lustfully at her. But Daphne steel herself, the kind of man Kian was didn't matter to her. She only wanted to use him, the relationship she was seeking wasn't real. So it didn't matter to her if the only thing Kian wanted was her body.
With slow steps, Daphne approached Kian who continued moving backward until his back hit the door. She unbuttoned her third button. Revealing her lace bra fully. Kian eyes went to Daphne as she placed a hand on his chest.
"You are finally ready to listen to me," Daphne said. "Before I had a lot I wanted to talk to you about. But now that I'm seeing you like this..."
Kian's breath was heavy. His face was red, even though he had already seen Daphne's lace bra. He avoided staring at her chest again. He could barely look at her in the eyes.
"...I don't have much to say." Daphne continued. "I want us to be together. I'm willing to do anything so that you can fall for me. You can have my body if you want. It's yours."
