章 25: chapter 26
In the morning I woke up late thank God due to the medicine the doctor gave me they are really working I take my phone there are some messages wishing me a happy thanksgiving I reply to them all and I went to the kitchen finds James there sitting on the table with his laptop opened in front of him he raise his eyes above the laptop when he hear my footsteps
"Good morning " he greets me I peck his lips " happy thanksgiving " I wish him he turns to me " happy thanksgiving beautiful " I smile at him and kiss him again he squeezes my butt cheeks deepen the kiss when am out of breathe I push him
" am hungry " I tell him going to the fridge to find something to eat
"What do you want to eat " he ask me typing on his laptop i make some omelette and cut some fruits mix them with yoghurt he didn't have milk so I make my self some juice for myself I ask him if I can make him something but as usual he says no I sit across him from the table and enjoy my breakfast watching him working
" what plans do you have today " he ask me closing his laptop giving me his full attention
" just going home have lunch with mom and Palma I think I will chill with them the whole day what about you" i ask him drink on my juice
" am having lunch with my family of course Uncle Blue and all his sons are going to be there to night am going with Juliet to his place " he observes me I nod at him mummers a good
After breakfast I took a shower change into my clothes and James drops me off to his way home
"Palma " "mom" i yell as I enter the house I find them in the kitchen cooking i walk to them and hugs them together " I missed you" I dramatically say cleaning a fake tear
" we saw the news i called you but you wouldn't pick up " Palma say shit I didn't think I was going to explain anything to them and I know that James doesn't want this to go out " can we not talk about that and let me enjoy thanksgiving with my family " I say but I love my family so much they drop it just like that we cook danced together celebrating the life that we are still having we may not be rich but we are thankful for the way we are after having lunch together we sit in the living room watching a Christmas movie later that day my grandparents video called us we talked for a few minutes promising us that they will be here for Christmas I inform Palma and mom that am having twins which they thought was a great idea mom informed me that it requires a lot of work but she believes that I will be a great mom even though I don't believe it myself but I know I will adjust and promises me that she will be here to help no matter what they didn't ask me about James I know they are giving me time to process things and they know I will tell them once am ready I want to first ask James what I need to tell them that is safe not that I don't trust my family I do but this is not my business so I need to first discuss with James that how my thanksgiving went and it ended with Palma receiving a very big beautiful flower from her boyfriend Jack
The following days went in a blur me going back to college and laboratory trying to be a supportive understanding girlfriend
I went home I haven't seen James these days but we talk everyday on the phone him asking me how am doing and all when I got home no one is home I make dinner mom comes first then Palma who say she is not hungry she ate at Kelly's place I eat with mom and we went to bed
" Leila are you sleeping " Palma shake me a little I was sleeping if I was I would kill her
" what is it " i ask still facing the other side of the bed
" what happened between you and James " she ask I turn to her facing he she sit up pulling her legs to her chest
"What happened why is he getting married to that Juliet woman was he cheating on you the whole time "
" no Palma no you know don't believe everything you read in the media " i explain to her" look let's sleep i promise you it's what it looks like I will explain to you later once I get to know everything myself okay" i tell her I can't believe she thinks James would do that I trust that man with my life and I know I may be not worth of him but am going to hold into him
" just for the record know that I hate him I even blocked him on my phone " Palma say I stare at her
" Palma he is not the bad guy you know " I don't know how I can explain everything to her without telling her the real truth so I let it be
