章 13: [IDENTIFICATION]_4: an explanation/of raptures and drones. (NOVA)
10 am.
After shutting off the power and leaving the control room with my squad and a peeping tom whose name I want to know.
all of us were starting to head outside the area and it was obvious that I wanted to question him but Neon was the first to beat me to it, "so, you got a name" she asked as he started to be silent and process before finally speaking up.
"well my name is aden." he said as Neon smiled, "well nice to meet you aden, my name is Neon, those 3 over there are Anis, the commander and Rapi." she said as Anis smiled and waved at him while shifty jumped in.
"aren't you forgetting someone?" shifty asked as Neon nodded, "oh yeah and that is shifty." she finished as shifty looked at aden and gave him a cute smile just to lighten the mood and see how he reacted.
"Well, it is nice to meet you all." he said as a smile formed on his lips as I started to jump in, "we are also known as the counter squad." immediately after saying that, aden started to nod as Rapi looked at him.
"take your time to process, you will need it." she said as I gave a nod in the hopes that our mysterious friend would be at ease and comfy.
10:30 am
after 30 mins of telling aden what we were doing, our friend started to open up a little as he talked about his life and what he was doing before he ended up here and was found by us.
"an interdimensional portal huh, interesting." shifty said as she looked into the date and information, "well you are in this world that is dangerous when it comes to the surface." she explained but before she could bring it up aden stopped her.
"i know, raptures, i heard you mention it when i was listening in." he explained as rapi nodded remembering the scar on his right neck as she did not bring it up but instead decided to place a hand on his shoulder.
"This place is not safe for people like you, once this is over, we can get you to a safe place and have you rest from this journey." i hear her say as i nod while checking the street.
"i am detecting activity in the area, get aden to safety now." shifty said as i shook my head and led him to a safe area where he would not get hurt.
as i hid aden behind the barricades so he could watch us fight off the threat, i returned to the others as i knew that the raptures we heading this way.
"open fire at the target, we may be heading to our location but we are surely going escort a civilian to there as well so we can decide what to do with him when we arrive." i informed as i was the commander after all.
as the raptures started pouring out of the cafe and gas station, the 4 of us opened fire as we normally killed the raptures and used the environment to kill the raptures.
as the raptures were getting cut down, i could see a drone fly above and open fire as i shot it down before the projectiles would make contact and hit one of us.
"More drones behind us." Neon said as i looked and saw it, "ADEN GET DOWN." i yelled as aden nodded his head and brought his head down as i fired another shot at it while another drone was brought down by rapi.
Anis started to fire her grenade at the gas tank causing an explosion that took out the last remaining rapture's and left no remaining rapture's in sight.
