章 170: Chapter 61 - Malia (3)

I know without looking up that they're staring at me. With my clenched fists, I just keep my head down, refusing to meet their stares as I tune them out. I have nothing to say to them about that anymore. I'm so mad at Keith that I clench my jaw so hard, I'm afraid my teeth would chip.

Unsure how long I blocked them out, I only notice movement when Rick, Gael's right hand, comes into the office and brings Ackerman out. I was slightly concerned about what they were going to do to him until I hear Gael tell him to show up to work on Monday like nothing happened.

Then Gael looks at me. "Are you thirsty?"

Not really in the mood for talking anymore, I shake my head. Gael fixes drinks from the drink cart and when he comes back, he sets down a shot of whiskey in front of me while he holds a sparkly drink in a crystal and sits in the armchair, his expression now looking less murderous.

Hi, everyone. It's been a while, I know. So many things happened in the past few months and it's just overwhelming that I chose to wait until I'm able to come on here and update the story and tell you. First, I got pregnant (still am) and found out last August. It all made sense why I was feeling like not myself then. If you are in my newsletter, I announced this early a few months ago, so thank you for your replies and well wishes. My 1st trimester was rough, I could barely eat without getting sick and I lost weight. I'm fine now though. It was all better when I got to 2nd tri...until I got sick again for three weeks when flu circulated around here that I needed to be on antibiotics. I got better after but had no motivation to write even though I can't stop thinking about Gio and Lia. And then a few weeks ago just when I was ready to start writing again, my paternal grandmother passed away. It was hard that I couldn't go home to be with my family and see her one last time while trying not to stress so much in order not to hurt my baby. It's been tough, but I managed. So... yes, I'm going through stuff, but I'm alright. I'm fine, baby is fine. Thank you for all your messages and for checking up on me. I can't reply to everyone promptly but thank you. <3 I miss you all. Hoping to write more from now on. :)
