章 2: Masked Men
I was relaxing in the tub, and I yawned. Ghost was waiting outside the door. "Don't fall asleep, Emma," he said. I shake my head, drain the tub, and step out. I see purple cotton pajamas. I get dressed and walk out, holding the empty cup. Ghost looks down and takes the cup. "Go rest," he orders. I walk off to my room and lie down. König looks. "She isn't a soldier, Ghost," he said. Ghost looks at König. "She is at 141 base and needs to understand if she gets sick, we all will suffer," he states. König sighs.
"If she gets sick, care for her, you Arschloch," he said, walking off. Ghost walks off and stops at my door, seeing it cracked. He slowly peeks in. I was sound asleep in the shirt König gave me. The smell of him relaxed me. Ghost's temper was rising, and he walked in, locked the door behind him, slowly took the shirt off me, and put on the purple pajamas he got me. Ghost walks out holding the shirt, tosses it in the trash, and burns it. I woke up in a sweat, breathing. I looked down and saw I had been changed. I was looking for König's shirt. I swallow. My heart rate was fast. König went to check on me and saw me having a panic attack and pulled me to his chest. I took a deep breath of his smell and calmed down. "Where is my shirt, Bärchen," he asks. "I went to sleep in it and woke up in the purple Pajamas ghost gave me, but they itch, and they're too hot," I mumble.
König stood up. "Stay here, Bärchen," he says and walks out. König came back holding a shirt and handed it to me. I take it, keep it to my nose, and lie down. König covers me up, walks out, and stops seeing what looks like a burnt shirt in the trash. "Ghost, you that insecure," König said. Ghost looks. "I don't know what you're talking about," he said, working on his gun. König sighs. "The pajamas you got her make her itch. That is why she was in the T-shirt. Stop behaving like a child," he said, walking off. I got back into König's shirt and, smiled, and went back to sleep. The following day, I rolled up the oversized shirt and made it tight around my waist, got some yoga pants, and walked to leave for home.
