章 1: New Life, Old... Me?
A/N: Yo, Phony here, I've tried writing a Genshin FF for a while now. After multiple attempts at doing so, I finally felt this idea of a story would be fitting and something I would be satisfied in.
Might have different things compared to the actual Genshin story line, so treat this as just an AU.
Writing this fanfic is just to polish my writing skills so I can go back to writing my own story.
Also, as this is a fanfic, everything is owned by their rightful owners, except my OC and any other ones I will introduce. Peace!

I lived a normal life.
I mean, mostly everyone does right?
Go to school and receive education, get good grades for your dream job, find out most of the thing you've learnt will be useless for your job or even your day to day life. Then after all of that and finally finishing that hell hole, you apply for your the job of your dreams.
Just to fail and now be overworked with an underpaid salary...

'Finally, ' I thought as I stretched my arms after being finished with my work for today.
After saving the multiple documents and other things assigned or more like the the supposed work of my co-workers, I tidied up my desk and left the company grounds. Not before having small talk with the night guard and greeting them goodbye.
Now on my way once again to the subway, I couldn't help but sigh.
'How repetitive and mundane...'
My life can truly be explained with just those two words; repetitive and mundane. Doing the same thing over and over again, and having to always stay and leave late because of having to overwork can't help but feel tiring...
I just shook my head and entered the empty train that I had arrived while having those thoughts. Then taking the seat closest to me, I pulled out my phone and can't help but have a faint smile on my face since this is probably the only thing I enjoyed to do, which was my only hobby.

It all started in high school, where I though it wouldn't be too bad to try and read some webnovels. So I did and immediately fell in love-
...with many works of different authors' of course.
*Cough* Anyway, I truly enjoyed the many different genres and writing styles each person did and had.
And I just kept falling in this hole even more.
The creative ideas, the well thought plots, the fleshed out characters.
Everything, and I mean all of it made me just want to keep on reading no matter the time, place, moment.
'So that's the end huh? ' I thought as I finally finished another book. The book was about an author being transmigrated in his own novel as a side character.
Besides the premise, all of the other parts of the story like the characters, plot, etc. was pretty good.
As much as I wanted to continue to internally ramble to myself, I released a long yawn with my eyelids feeling heavy shortly after while also starting to feel drowsy.
'It wouldn't be bad to take a short nap, right?' I thought and then gently closed my eyes.

a world with its own laws filled with gods, monsters, mysteries, and so much more uncovered. And in such a world, Teyvat has 7 nations ruled by 1 god each.
And in Inazuma City, the streets were full of business and people as it was currently about to become dusk. Many people of varrying ages were about in the streets. From kids playing with each other, some couples enjoying their time, friends just wanting to go somewhere, and the like. While vendors were busy advertising whatever they were selling and the aroma of the restaurants' cuisine. All in all
Yet a teenager who looked like 15-17 years of age was sitting on a tree couldn't help but think,
'This place really does resemble the Japan I know of.'

When I thought my life was boring, I didn't mean for some higher being or force from who knows where to suddenly change my life...
But I mean... what can I do? If they wanted to wipe me off of the face of the world... or more like Teyvat, all they had to do was wish for it to happen...
Thinking of that stuff, I just sighed, shook my head, and started thinking of other things like how when I got transmigrated, I got a decent amount of information of the world and the memories of the person I am now.
Teyvat, a place with many fictional things within it.
Monsters, Dragons, Gods, and much more....
But out of all of these I couldn't help but feel attracted to the thought of being able to manipulate a certain element through a:
Vision.
With one of those, I'll be able to manipulate one of the seven elements that are known in this world as: Electro, Geo, Anemo, Dendro, Hydro, Pyro, and lastly, Cryo.
As for the body I am now, I found out that it had a vision with it when I came to. But sadly, it had a dull grey signifying it had lost its owner.
'May you be able to rest in peace,' I internally said while feeling guilty at the thought that I "killed" the owner of this body.
I tried to place it at the back of my mind for now, and it somewhat worked. So I thought about the only other thing I knew of the body, their name.
Yuya Akira
With Yuya being their first name and Akira being their last.
After all that thinking, I checked the time using a pocketwatch that seemed to be a keepsake owned by 'Akira.' It was just a normal pocketwatch but had a name written behind it,
"Mizuki."
Anyway, I found out that it was already 18:04 and thought that I should buy something. Just as I was about to come down the tree—
"Little one, how curious you are. Hmm... Would you like to come with me?" a melodious voice with a hint of mischief said as if behind me.
