章 27: Chapter 27: Glyphs

The first five days of the week have been insightful for the remainder of my time here. I got to admit everything has been rather good with friends to help me out.
It's not a bad thing to admit that you're weak. I just need to become stronger over time to not let people obviously stronger than you trample over you. With the case of Cardin for example.
Since I haven't fought for the last five days he thought he could bully me when I'm alone… the last mistake as a person with Telekinesis I can just basically twist his balls or crush them as a certain Strawhat did to Franky.
After that, they backed off but when they tried to get me in numbers… well again rinse and repeat on all of them.
Although I did enjoy the time I spent with my team, especially the stats I gained talking to them and helping them out with their HW (Nora) as it helped build up my stats along with asking the professors of their questions.
It really helps in the long run of things as I got this many stats in the following order:

At least this looks better than before the last time but anyway I see that the rest of the team are starting to wake up as Pyrrha greeted me first, "Yawn~ Moring Albus you seem to rise and early today?"
Smirking a bit at her I replied of getting private lessons from Glynda with a hint of excitement in my tone of voice, "I'm learning about some topics about Glyphs with Glynda today during the weekend. This was offered during the first day of classes so I was hoping to get the chance as she was able to do it."
Pyrrha nodded at this as the rest began to wake up as I already told her what I'm doing for the day. With that, I left as I messaged Glynda where to meet up to start the lessons during her day off.
Just as I sent it I was sent with the direct message of where to go is at the library. Well not the first time being sounded so reasonable.
Leaving I began to head towards the library early in the morning hoping to finish some lessons and get some levels for the day in the progress.

Finally, I got to see the library at Beacon Academy as I see it.
The library is a repository of books and other sources of archived information within the Academy. It was generally meant to be a quiet place for students to read and study, though students often used the area as a gathering place, playing board games and socializing instead.
It could also make transcontinental calls to areas outside of the kingdom of Vale, similar to the CCT. The library also has access to several holographic computer terminals, which could be freely used by the students.
As I enter inside the building I meet Glynda as she raised her glasses towards me expecting me as I came in as she drank her coffee as she replied, "Now then mister Albus. Are you ready to discuss the basics of Glyphs?"
Nodding excited but I couldn't help but ask Glynda how we can learn it in the first place since isn't this more a Schnee thing as I couldn't help but ask, "Of course Miss Glynda. Although… isn't this kind of thing more of a Schnee Family thing though? How did you make yours during the following night when you defended us to which I thank you by the way."
Glynda smiled at this as she explained to me the basics of Glyphs. From what I can understand anybody could use glyphs the only real issue is casting them and aura supply. And even then not everyone is proficient in using them because of the studying needed or they need a channeling weapon to make it easier.
For example Glynda weapon.
Glynda went into detail about how they are used and how the Schnee family used them.
When the Schnees use their Semblance, they create a flat glyph that has a variety of effects, from moving to summoning to creating Dust formations. The Glyph has the same design as the Schnee snowflake family symbol. Different effects have different Glyph designs.
Glyphs have a variety of effects on objects, monsters, and people. They can be for propulsion, as they have the ability to control motion, with the basic Glyph type exerting push forces on other objects and acting as a solid surface.
The appearance of said objects changes with different types of Glyphs, three examples being Time Dilation Glyphs, Glyphs can be used as a solid shield or barrier, or the unique Schnee Glyphs for summoning.
However, only the unique heritage traits of the Schnee's seems to have the unique ability to summon Grimm they have defeated in the past. When the Schnees use their Semblance, they create a flat glyph that has a variety of effects, from moving to summoning to creating Dust formations.
The Glyph has the same design as the Schnee snowflake family symbol. Different effects have different Glyph designs for each person.
One variant of Glyphs, called Time Dilation, speeds up actions and is the result of mixing Lightning Dust with the Semblance. Glyphs are also able to confer these enhancements upon other people.
At least that's how Glynda explained it as she brought me a book about Glyphs in front of me as she obviously asked the obvious, "While its true that the Schnee's are more used to them since it's their heritage semblance. Other people have tried to replicate the effects using their Glyphs as examples for them to use. For whatever reason though the people seem to only have one unique trait using Glyphs. Mine in this case happens to form barriers or shields for you however you will need to find out what you could do. You have enough time to read through the contents here to better familiarize of with each Dust has for each effect."
Glancing at the book and taking it up I saw the window alright in front of me as I see it clearly that it's a skill book ready for me to use.

Before hitting the yes button I asked Glynda carefully as I was hoping she had copies of this as I didn't want to bother her buying a new book, "Say, Glynda… you wouldn't happen to have another copy of Glyphs uses here in the library right? I mean I was hoping to check this out if it's not too much trouble."
She raised her eyebrow questioning me before she nodded and replied an answer to my earlier question, "Yes… there are more in the library. This here is one of the copies we have on campus. Although this is usually reserved for those upper-year students why ask? However... I suppose you could keep this one if you manage to use Glyphs on time. Think of it as a test to see if you can do it."
Oh in that case then it's no problem if one's gone then.
But I'm not going to show it off. After that, though she gave me some tips of how to use it in battle or for practical uses afterward for an hour she left to leave me to figure out how to use them.
Glancing around and being lucky as I am there were no one nearby or cameras looking at me as I grinned at this. Clicking the button yes the book vanished in light as I absorb all the info and skills of the book into my head.

Combing the skills <Umbra-Telekinesis> with <Glyphs> allows the status effect of the target becomes unable to sense where they are, however, they can still feel the ground and sense what's happening to their body. AP cost 15.

Oh, this is so nice to have an extremely convenient one for me.
After that was done with it was time I start the grind since I have today and tomorrow to enjoy my free time…
And that's to hunt Grimm for my Exp to level up. But I'll bring over my team to see if that's possible after all playing alone is only so fun before you have a need for friends.

I have no issue accepting this plus I get to unlock another feature of the Gamer powers? I'm all in for that plus I need to have a grinding session anyway since I have my free time during the weekends.
Better use my time wisely as best as I can. You know this feels like one of those Persona Games at this point. Oh well, Game on.
