Opening my eyes again, I was back at Weirwood in Wolf's Den.
'Some shit just happened, that man, I'm sure it was me'
'I'll think about it later, I better get back'
I walked easily out of the castle, it was as if the darkness of the night, was an extension of my body, and if I already have that ability, who will say Eldric, who has a great aptitude.
After some more walking, I returned again to the tavern where we were staying.
I put all my things away for the match tomorrow, got quill, ink and paper and sat down at the table in the room.
'Time to think about the shape of the blade, Dark Sister is designed for a woman's hands because of the thinness of its blade.'
'As much as it's a long sword, the amount of Valyrian steel is little, so I can't make it into something bigger or thicker, maybe a katana, Dark Sister is about a meter long with just the blade, so I could make it and still have very little steel left, almost nothing.'
'The only problem is that a katana in these times is pretty tricky, it's only effective on people without plate armor, I think I'll go for a long sword anyway, maybe I'll keep the blade, just change the rest.'
'On the way I'll think straight'
Coming close to the bed, I lay down.
The moment I closed my eyes I remembered the scene I had seen when I leaned against the tree, the man who was certainly me.
Certain things about the scene intrigued me, the man had a scar on his face, which went from the top of his eyebrow to his cheekbone, however menacing and ugly to look at, the man did not lose his beauty and majesty.
The nine people around him, 6 of them I recognized as Sigurd and company, the other three people I couldn't see, their faces were cloudy, but one of them was quite small, but with a strong constitution.
Another thing that caught my attention was one of the swords in his hand, the one with the letters shining in red, I have never seen a sword like that, it had nothing flashy, like the Dark Sister, which had a big Ruby in its center, but the drawings on its blade shining in red, that was what caught my attention, it was as if the sword had a life of its own.
'Well, let it be, future or not, it is still too early for this vision to happen'
Releasing my thoughts about the vision, I focused on sleeping, and quickly drifted off to sleep.
Hearing a random rooster crow, I got out of bed, changed my clothes, gathered my things, and left the room, heading for the hall to eat breakfast.
A few minutes after eating, the rest of the staff arrived and sat down with me at the table.
"I tried to inform you yesterday but I couldn't find you, we got a boat to King's Landing, it will leave in two hours." Rhoslyn said.
"Got it, thanks Rhoslyn." I spoke with a smile.
"Not at all, Arth" replied Rhoslyn with another smile.
"How was the fight, Perseus?" I asked.
"Boring, looked like two kids swinging a sword, how they managed to be knights with that mediocre skill is what puzzles me" spoke Perseus.
"Simple my friend, Gold" I said.
"It's always Gold" spoke Perseus with disgust.
"Come, let's go" I spoke.
Going to the pier, we waited for the boat that would take us to be ready.
After a few hours, the boat was ready to leave, we boarded, and soon after we were on our way.
Lost in thought watching the endless water over the bow of the boat, Rhoslyn, Astrid and Perseus arrived beside me.
"It's beautiful isn't it?" I said.
"Yes" replied all three of them.
"When I was younger, I had a dream of traveling into the unknown." I spoke.
"And what has changed?" Astrid asked.
"Responsibilities, family, and you guys." I spoke with a smile.
"Us? Why would we make you change your dream?" Perseus asked.
"Remember I promised you greatness? I am lapping up the path to it, who knows, when everything is falling into place, I will take a boat, and disappear." I spoke.
"But anyway, that's a subject for another day, we are almost to King's Landing, I have to start making preparations" I spoke.
"Arth, before that, can I ask you something?" Rhoslyn asked.
Nodding his head to her, Rhoslyn made her request.
"Could you sing a song? It's been a while since I've heard a song from you." Rhoslyn spoke.
The moment Rhoslyn made the request, Astrid and Perseus' eyes lifted, and smiles appeared on their faces.
"Okay, just one song" I spoke.
"Right" Rhoslyn replied with a smile.
"Then go get my lute from my things" I spoke.
"Let me get it" said Perseus as he ran towards the place where our things were stored.
[ POV RHOSLYN ]
Always when the opportunity arises, I ask Arthur to sing us a song, somehow his music brings me a peace, an ethereal feeling, as if he could transmit feelings and emotions.
I was born and lived most of my life in Reach, my mother was a maid in the Tyrell house, I don't know what happened, but she was fired, and since she had no other way to support herself, she started selling her body in the cheapest brothels, and that's when she got pregnant with me, after a few years living with very little, she decided to move to the north, in search of a better life for us, until now I don't understand how she could have been so stupid and naive as to go to the poorest lands of the seven kingdoms in search of a better condition.
My mother died a few years after we arrived in the North, more precisely in Winterfell, in an outbreak of Bloody Flux, after which I wandered around, stealing some food, until one day a soldier caught me stealing, and took me to the Castle of the Lord of the North, thinking that I would be punished, but what I didn't expect, is that I was heading towards the turning point of my life, and the place where I found the hand that took me out of the gutter, the person who gave me a purpose, where I was already thinking of following the same steps as my mother, and here I am, surrounded by people I consider my family.
[ POV ARTHUR ]
After a few minutes, Perseus returned with my lute in hand.
Seeing Perseus with the lute, some people on the boat came toward us, including Sigurd, who was arm wrestling with some sailors, and Kevin, who was competing in knife-throwing at the mast with other sailors.
"Is the Chief going to sing? Finally, Hahahaha" spoke Sigurd.
"Since we are at sea, I will sing a song with that theme" I spoke, after tuning the strings of the lute, I started to sing.
[Song: My Mother Told Me]
"Music is the link that unites the life of the spirit to the life of the senses. Melody is the sensitive life of poetry."
- Ludwig van Beethoven
