"What the hell was that?" Merle, who had just gotten up from the ground, watched as the entire governor's community was reduced to ashes.
The flames of what were once houses were visible from where they stood. When he looked down, he found the governor dead in a pool of blood.
"Damn, arrogant idiot..." Dominic brushed off the dust from his hands. The pain he once felt from killing was now insignificant. He knew he needed to take care of his people, their future, and that of hundreds of thousands of others.
Maybe these people weren't a threat now, but there would be too many who were just trying to survive. So Dominic had no choice but to eliminate them all.
At that moment, three helicopters approached from the distance and descended where Dominic stood.
"Greetings, Commander of Unification. What are your orders?" A robust man greeted Dominic with the respect he deserved. The entire elite of the unification knew their leader and what he was capable of.
Merle, seeing the soldiers descend from the helicopters, dropped his weapon. He wasn't an idiot; he knew these people would kill him if he made any jokes.
"I guess I can keep my crossbow." Daryl looked at the whole group in a helicopter, so he also approached after receiving the signal to board.
Dominic surveyed the surroundings. Walkers were approaching, but they were of no concern since they were very slow. After ensuring everything was in order, he boarded a helicopter, and they all left the area.
The helicopters flying over the governor's community witnessed the extent of the disaster that had befallen them. Everyone was speechless at how the entire place had been destroyed without a second thought.
"Are we going with these lunatics?" Lori couldn't believe what kind of monster Dominic was, and she couldn't allow them to influence her young son.
Many chose not to oppose, but Hershel, who was in the same helicopter, said, "They have liberation programs. They would assign me a farm once we land, so it's not a dictatorship as many think."
"I'll be a military officer; all of us can grow in this unification."
Lori looked at her husband and asked, "By killing people?"
"People who deserve it, Lori. They would have killed us if it weren't for the intervention of these people." Rick wanted to control his wife, who had lost her mind.
Glenn preferred to look at the landscape from above and not intervene in the conversation. It would be terrible if these people associated him with his friend's foolish wife.
…
"Zz. We've located the prison. We'll establish an advanced base in this location."
Dominic had ordered a base to be established in this place to take advantage of its strategic location and to start expanding more rapidly.
There was only one mission, and that was to gain ground against the CRM. As long as they had the opportunity, they would dominate the entire country and expand across the continent.
The grand initiation—Canada, the United States, and Mexico—was just the ambition Dominic wanted to see before he died. A perfect, strong, and prosperous world.
