章 47: A Lingering Ghost

The driver abruptly stepped on the brake and looked at Cynthia Shannon in the rearview mirror with a bewildered expression. "Miss."

Cynthia raised her hand and casually adjusted the curls on her shoulder, her expression unchanged. "Find a place to park the car."

"Okay."

The driver quickly found a parking spot and walked to the back, opening the car door for Cynthia .

Cynthia got out of the car and bent down. "I'll take a walk to get some fresh air. Wait for me here."

"Yes," the driver replied.

Stepping along the sidewalk in her high heels, Cynthia headed towards "Spago." Unconsciously, she found herself searching for that tall and handsome figure in her surroundings.

"Cynthia Shannon?!" Yvonne Louise and Naomi Sweeney were taken aback when they saw Cynthia, their expressions freezing momentarily.

They had thought that after leaving the Louise Family, Cynthia would be in a sorry state by now. They never expected things to turn out this way.
