They were eating leisurely, and it was already 3 p.m. by the time they were done with lunch.
Caroline leaned back slightly in her chair and brought her hands to touch her belly.
"Baby, I ate so much. Are you full?" She asked.
"Baby, your mother only cares about whether or not you're full when you're still yet to be here. She doesn't even care about me," Eddison said.
Caroline gave him a sideway glance. "You're jealous of the baby, aren't you?"
He didn't say anything.
He did feel uncomfortable that a baby was about to snatch her attention and affection away.
Thus, he had to prepare a partner for the baby in advance so that the baby wouldn't occupy all of her time and affection.
However... Where would he find a partner from?
He didn't even know the baby's gender so how could he find a partner?
"Honey, why don't we go out for a walk to digest our lunch better?" He suggested.
"Sure."
