Scarlett Glenn heard the breathing by her ear grow heavier, and after a moment Ethan Herd gritted his teeth: "Do you... do you really want to die by making me share your bed? I won't object."

Scarlett Glenn reached up and wrapped her arms around Ethan Herd's neck, her chin resting on his shoulder and whispered into his ear: "If you don't come, I won't be able to sleep."

It seemed like Scarlett Glenn was joking, but she knew within herself that there was truth in her words - she had indeed grown accustomed to Ethan Herd appearing in the middle of the night.

Ethan's heart tightened, and he muttered resentfully: "As if I believe you."

Ethan embraced Scarlett and spun her around, so she was lying on top of him.

"If I didn't have nowhere to sleep, who would come and find you?"
