章 8: Who is your Daughter?
Everyone turned back to look in the direction of the voice, but they couldn't see the face of the speaker clearly, as Madison was sitting at a dark corner.
Madison stood up, deliberately showing her clothes in the lights. When she had talked earlier, her voice had sounded strangely manly. It was so deep that she almost couldn't recognize her own voice. Maybe her emotion got the best of her voice. So she stood up to let them know she was a lady though, she wasn't willing to show them her face yet.
She was waiting for a particular person to talk.
"Omg!! Who's that lady?"
"How outrageous!!"
"She is so daring"
"I wonder how she entered this place"
"Could it be that she was actually invited or perhaps she snuck her way in"
"I'm really dying to see her face!!"
"I bet she's a fresh face in Calgary"
Few people started raising their speculations.
"How dare you call yourself Tonia's mother in front of the biological mother!!" Madison's voice sounded again
This time, everyone was extremely shocked and they started murmuring again.
"OMG!!!! She's Tonia's mother?"
"This woman must be joking"
"I heard that Tonia's mother died long ago and that she was a really bad person."
" This person is actually courting death for trying to impersonate another person"
"Doesn't she know the consequences?"
"Judging from her figure, I think she looks too young to be a mother, let to talk of being a mother to someone of Tonia's age!"
"I think something big is about to happen"
"How brazen!!" Tracy Lowell rebuked the speaker, oblivious to the fact that it was actually Madison.
How dare you say you're Tonia's biological mother! Don't you think you're rushing too early to your grave?! Tonia's mother has long been dead, you fool!!". Tracy didn't see Madison's face because she was standing at a dark corner and just thought it was some person trying to impersonate her granddaughter's mother.
Madison bursted into laughter. Right!!, that was the person she had been waiting for to talk.
"Really?" She asked as she walked majestically to the front for everyone to see her face.
Immediately Tracy saw Madison's face, her expression changed dramatically. She gasped in surprise and disbelief, shock clearly written all over her face over. She still recognized her clearly, even after so many years. She had hated her so much for making her son fall crazily in love with her, a poor girl and for some other reasons she didn't want to think about. If not that she had acted wisely then, she would've completely ruined her son's life. But after all her effort she was back again.
Thinking about it makes her feel like scratching her face.
"What? Are you surprised or sad to see me alive?" Madison asked titting one side of her mouth upward.
Tracy opened her mouth to speak but closed it again.
"Oh! I guess you're sad" She looked at Alice who was still standing at the podium, then added,
"Well, I don't have your time for now, I still have someone else to deal with"
"You!! How dare you speak to me in that manner!" Sharon flared up.
"Why?Who are you that I can't talk to in that manner? huh?" She smirked, deliberately trying to piss her off.
This lady would be death of her. Sharon felt like her head was spinning. Nobody had ever addressed her this way. She didn't even know what to say to her so she immediately sat down. She felt like she was dying.
"And you who are you, really? the fake Mother?!" Madison said to Kate, looking at her with disgust.
Kate was about retorting when Madison interrupted again,
"Save that for yourself! I don't have any business with a fool like you. I came here to get my daughter back!"
"huh?" A tiny voice sounded behind Madison.
Tonia walked up to her and faced her asking,
"Who is your daughter? Me?"
