章 2: Participating In The Writing Contest

The Previous Day

Da Xia was sitting at her desk, staring at her computer as she tried to think of something new to write in the latest chapter of her story which she needed to upload in the next eight hours.

Her mind kept sending her ideas and she kept rejecting one after the other. She wanted to write an interesting chapter and end it on a cliffhanger.

Just as she was scurrying through many ideas that she had thought of in the past hour, a ping on her PC alerted her of an incoming notification.

It was a notification from the online site where she was currently publishing her story. She opened the site and found out that there was going to be a new writing contest.

Her interest was instantly piqued as she noticed that the theme for the contest was cultivation. One of her favorite genres.

Forgetting about the chapter that she was supposed to update, she started thinking about ideas for a new cultivation story.

It didn't take her long to form an entirely new plot. The plot was actually interesting and she immediately started typing.

The female lead of her new story was a Demon Slayer in the year 3021 and also belonged to a family background that came from the lineage of martial artists.

She even had read a few books about spirit cultivation in the ancient family scrolls.

As the female lead finally slew her 10,000th Demon, she earned two years' vacations without any disturbance from the Headquarters.

Just as she was supposed to leave for her flight and start her vacation, she got a call from her boss asking her to be present at the important meeting that was suddenly being conducted at the headquarters.

Somehow, within the next few hours, the female lead ended up with a new mission. She had to kill two Demon Princes who were not even aware of their true identity.

That's the moment when the two handsome male leads entered the story. The two Demon Princes were cursed at their birth by the Gods, to spend their lives in the Jia Province, totally oblivious to their identities as the rulers of the Demon Realm.

The story was set in a magical world. There were a total of hundred and seven provinces on the mainland. Jia Province was also one of them and the weakest of all. It was mostly surrounded by mountain ranges, forests, and a river. The people of the village mostly depended on agriculture and animal breeding to earn their livelihoods.

For the past twenty-three years, the two Demon Princes had been a part of the two thousand population of the Jia Province.

Someone gave orders to the Headquarters of Slayers to kill the two Demon Princes before they could break the seal which was restricting and hiding their powers.

The Headquarters of Slayers had invented a lot of technologies and one of these technologies was teleportation which helped them travel through different dimensions and time zones.

The female lead was assigned to complete the task as she was the only Demon Slayer who had come across the worlds of martial arts and cultivation in her life.

As the female lead of the story traveled to the magical world of the Demon Princes, she found out that both the Princes were getting married to the same girl, that very exact day.

The female lead somehow succeeded in killing the two Demon Princes and burnt their house. In that process, the bride of the Princes also got killed.

As the female lead was returning back to her world after completing the mission, a sudden technical problem in her teleportation machine ended up killing her too.

Da Xia stopped typing and started reading what she had written so far.

She was actually satisfied with the plot so far, just wishing that the readers would like it too.

Due to constant writing for the past few hours, both her neck and fingers were aching. Her eyes were also uncomfortable because of staring at the PC for so long.

The next plot of the story was the major part as it was the part where the female lead would transmigrate into the body of the Princes' bride.

After that day, the two princes started haunting her. They accused her of being heartless for killing her own husbands and that they missed her a lot. Due to their constant complaints, the female lead lost her control and visited an elder cultivator to find a way to get rid of the two ghosts.

After realizing that the souls of the Princes were too strong to be controlled as they were the heirs of the Demon Clan, there was only one way left to get rid of them. The plan was to transfer their souls into a new body and then kill them by using the Golden Qi Sword.

But there was a catch, only a person who had a high level in spirit cultivation could use their powers to transfer the souls into new bodies and only an Immortal Deity who was blessed by the heavens could use the Golden Qi Sword.

Therefore, to get rid of the two souls, the female lead decided to cultivate and become an immortal, meanwhile dealing with various problems.

Da Xia planned to make the female lead fall in love with the two Demon Princes and after she finally succeeded in giving them new bodies, they lived happily ever after.

Happy with her plot, Da Xia decided to take a break for the day and start with a new chapter the next morning.

For a few hours in the evening, she spent taking care of the farm work. The workers who were assigned to plant the strawberries by her had done a very good job. Her farmhouse was overflowing with various organic and fresh vegetables, fruits, and crops.

As she laid down on her bed that night for a good night's sleep, little did know that due to some twisted fate, she would end up transmigrating into her own plot.

The plot changed a little, as the female protagonist of her story killed the two princes along with their bride, but she didn't set their small house on fire.

The worst part was that without even dying, Da Xia's soul transmigrated into the body of the Demon Princes' wife. Or...did she die?
