章 223: Gloria Defending Henry

Gloria had two options.

She could take the high road and let it go now that what Cynthia wanted in the first place had happened while all the prominent families in Washington DC were watching, even take it up a notch and play the peacemaker between the two women, both of them don't have the choice to refuse her if she asked them to kiss and makeup after the audacious show that took place in the middle of her house. 

But her anger surpassed any leniency. And so, she chose option two: escalate.

While Mrs. Williams was trying the best she could to put all the blame on her so-called friend and accomplice, judging by Mrs. Millard's reaction, even if she wasn't the mastermind behind the rumors targeting Henry through John, she wasn't exactly innocent either.

The two women who invaded Gloria's house at unsociable hours had obviously been in cahoots with each other, and neither of them deserved Gloria's tolerance.
