章 142: It's Just A Matter Of Timing

Suddenly Zack immediately backed off when he heard the shocking statement. He seemed ready to hold the part where he used to carry his gun, but he forgot that Shane was holding his gun.

"Give it back!" Zack exclaimed.

"I want you to listen to everything, Zack. I don't want you to misunderstand later. And this isn't what Jade wanted either."

Shane was still calm. He didn't want to get emotional and change and attack Zack. And he waited for Jade to show up so he could explain everything to Zack too.

Zack's breath seemed to be out of breath. He was silent for a moment and so was Shane. Then came the sound of footsteps behind them, at which point Jade finally revealed herself with a fairly disheveled appearance.

Jade's eyes looked worried looking at Zack. There was a fear in him for his father. He hadn't expected something like this to happen, so he was confused about it.

"Dad..." Jade said quietly.
