章 76: I'll be okay

Tiffany was quietly packing up her things when Lincoln arrived at his unit. He saw the lady shoving her clothes inside of her luggage while sitting on the carpeted floor. She was constantly giving him glances yet she never dared to properly look at him. 

"Hey," he softly called out then walked his way towards her. 

The lady looked in his direction for a minute before proceeding with what she was doing. Lincoln was about to say something when she suddenly got up from the floor. She was now kneeling on her knees while zipping up the carrier.

"You don't have to leave," he said in hopes that he could change her mind. But that would be mere foolishness. She never let him decide what she has and what not to do. 

"Stop that nonsense this instant," she answered and carefully stand on her feet. Her eyes finally meet his. "We're no longer engaged anyway," she added and casually walked around the room gathering the rest of her belongings.
