Albert sat grumpily in the carriage between Mr Saemus and Alfred, regretting disobeying Shane's words by going out of the cottage. Evelyn sat next to Elric, who was staring out the window as usual.
"Where are you taking me?" Albert asked, realising that wasn't the route for the council building.
"To heaven," Elric replied.
He growled, "You can't hold me captive by breaching council protocols."
"You don't have to teach us how to do our work," Mr Saemus said, irritated by the way Albert was speaking to them.
"Take me to the council building right now!" Albert scowled.
"You pressing me to go to the council building makes me question if there's someone from the council helping you all this time in hiding," Elric remarked.
Listening to his words, the agitated expression of Albert changed to horror-struck. For a fleeting second, he had a terrified expression on his face. He held back a poker face and sat quietly, ignoring Elric's remark.
