I pulled him through the swarms of bodies to a corridor. We passed by different rooms until I opened one and shoved him inside. I closed the door behind us and tried looking for the switch. I flicked the lights on, and I noticed a queen-sized bed at the corner of the room and a shelf filled with books next to it. We were in someone's room.

Aiden was heavily breathing as he leaned up against the wall. "You should have let me at him, Hazel."
