I spooned Demyan close to me. I tried to fall asleep but how could I when I knew he was upset with me? His eyes were closed but by how he constantly twisted his lips I knew he was not. The only way to get him to talk to me was to play it smooth and I was very lucky the children had decided to sleep with Malia or this chat would have been impossible. 

"Demy," I whispered in his ear and pressed a gentle kiss to his cheek, "May we talk?" He kept quiet but I felt his heart race. I tickled his side which earned me a snort. I smiled, "I know you're not sleeping."

His eyes snapped open before he wiggled his way out of my arms, "I don't want to talk."

"At least hear me out," I begged. 

He let out a sigh then rolled over so he was facing me, "Speak."

"I'm sorry I said my house when it's our house," I sighed, "I should have talked about Wilhelm with you months ago."
