"This isn't going to work."
Bob thought so to himself. He was hitting a Fatmin, a common monster that resides in Delm's Gorge of Fatty Acids. The monster was fat and slow but it had a huge pool of HP and his inferior stats could not kill it swiftly.
The monster was a meter tall. It had a stubby and wide-body like a barrel and it had short slimy legs. Around their body, holes could be found and fumes would exit these holes.
Thwack!
Pierce!
Bob's spear harassed the fat monster continuously. He didn't have much to do and hitting this monster was a great time killer. In truth, Bob had a lot of things on his head due to finally accepting the fact that he wasn't real.
"Still. That doesn't, huff, make me less. Haaat! significant."
He reassured himself while he mindlessly hit the Fatmin. He was too consumed by the activity that he didn't realize that he was already poisoned by the fumes.
[You are affected by Fart Fumes.]
[You will take 5 continuous damage.]
[Be aware, Fart Fumes damage will enhance the longer you are affected.]
[You are affected by Fart Fumes.]
Bob continued hitting the Fatmin. He didn't mind his HP pool at all.
"I wonder how their world looks like. Adventurers."
He grew curious about humanity.
Thwack!
Bob wanted to understand the world beyond his. However, -
"Cluck. Cluck cluck cluck."
Lavanuk clucked and his deep dive into his state of mind was interrupted.
"Hmm? What do you mean?"
He stopped his mindless attacking and stood still to look up. Lavanuk was on top of his head as always and was talking to him.
"Cluck cluck."
"Does it really matter?"
Lavanuk nodded her head as if to confirm her thoughts.
"Cluck."
"I get your point. However-"
Thwack!
Bob got hit by a smash attack from the slow Fatmin. The Fatmin managed to close in during the time Bob was busy talking. Bob was thrown backward and quite a fair distance while Lavanuk was left behind and had to flap her wings.
"Ugh. I mean, their world isn't ours to meddle in, right?"
"Cluck."
Flap~
Sizzle!
In retaliation, Lavanuk used Flame Wings to burn everything around her. This was all fine and dandy if the monster was of a normal kind. However, lighting a fire in an area filled with fumes would breed disaster.
BOOM!!
[Your contracted monster Lavanuk's HP value has reached 0]
[Your contracted monster Lavanuk shares your effects]
[Your contracted monster Lavanuk is an Essential. It can't die.]
"We have so much to think of in this world. Don't you think it would be a mess in our heads to think about another?"
Bob stood up and shook his armor to remove dust and dirt. He walked slowly to Lavanuk who was blown away by the blast.
"So, why do you think we should care about it?"
He crouched down to pick Lavanuk up. Her body was battered and broken but it seems she was fine and dandy.
"Cluck. Cluck cluck cluck."
"Oh. That's a fair point. The only friends I have are from that world."
"Cluck!"
"Ahaha. Of course, you're not just my friend. You're my partner."
He reassured Lavanuk that they were more than friends.
"Anyway, monsters here sure are tough nuts to crack. At least this one died due to the blast."
[You have gained 5230 (+1046) experience.]
[Your contracted monster Lavanuk has gained a level.]
"Cluck. Cluck cluck."
"Oh, that's right. How could I forget?"
Bob slapped his forehead. He thought that he was stupid. He forgot that despite being the same level as the monsters, he still hasn't allocated his stat points.
"System! Show me my stats!"
[Showing stats.]

------------------------
Bob's stats were the same from when he fought against Ligma. He never used his stat points because he didn't find the necessity to use them. Now is a different story.
'Hmm. Should I invest in AGI too? Just getting a few so that I can hit my enemies faster would be good enough, right?'
He contemplated on how to use his points. He never bothered to think about any other STATS other than STR and AGI, he doesn't need to worry about HP or MP anyway.
'This does get tiring though. If STR could enhance my strength, and AGI can enhance my dexterity, then which stat can enhance my stamina?'
[Both AGI and VIT increase your stamina.]
"Neat."
Bob was delighted that stamina could be increased by either stat.
However, the concept of stamina is rather abstract in Immersion Online. There is no numerical value for stamina and would only show effects when the player is truly tired.
This is why despite having full HP and no matter how little his MP pool was, Bob had to rest. Players usually don't care about stamina in the game, and that's because it replenishes whenever they're offline.
'Hmm. Let's make them equal first.'
[Confirm?]
'Yes.'
[80 stat points distributed to AGI]
Bob gripped his spear and swung.
'What?'
The feeling was unnatural. The speed at which he swings his spear was much faster than the attacks that he was used to. This is caused by the drastic change in attack speed.
[600 stat points remain.]
Bob may have been surprised, but he soon realized that getting unfamiliar with a sudden change is only natural. He didn't bother practicing with his new-found attack speed and dumped the rest of his stat points.
[Confirm?]
'Yes.'
[300 stat points distributed to STR]
[300 stat points distributed to AGI]
[0 stat points remain.]
Bob did not hesitate. He didn't have to think about mana as his skills use his HP instead. He didn't have to think about HP amount or regeneration because he's an immortal.
[Armor rating has increased.]
However, his armor rating increased due to gaining AGI. The author doesn't want to deliberate as armor is useless to Bob.
Feeling the power course all over his body, Bob observed the changes in his hands. His body did not change in shape, however, he could feel that he's no longer the same person.
Bob's AGI and STR stats are not that high if you think about higher-leveled players. He also didn't have equipment that increased any of his stats. He's piss poor to buy anything.
'Heh. Dan just gave me a set of armor but now it feels like this armor isn't worthy of me anymore.'
As arrogant as he may sound, what he said was true. The armor was custom made for a level 20 player. Now, he was more than 50 levels ahead of his equipment.
'Still. Having armor looks super cool.'
Bob was a peasant before he was an adventurer. The concept of wearing armor on his entire body despite it being of inexpensive parts was unthinkable before.
"Cluck!"
"Yea. Yea. Let's try this again."
Bob's narcissism was halted by Lavanuk. He grabbed her and placed her on his head. This was the perfect time to lure another mob.
"Do it."
"Cluck!"
Lavanuk opened her beak and soon after a shiny small ball of flame rushed out and went straight to a monster. Lavanuk became the perfect companion to lure singular monsters in an unknown dungeon.
"Nice. Now, let's see what you're made of!"
Slowly. The monster walked to Bob. The flames were already extinguished because Lavanuk's flame shot thrown from a large distance.
When the monster got near, Bob ran towards it and SPLAT!
He fell face-first into the ground. Just like how he was not used to his attack speed due to investing points into AGI, he was also unfamiliar with his running speed. He went faster than he thought and he lost his balance.
"Cluck!" Lavanuk managed to stay afloat as she flapped her wings.
'Damn it. Nobody saw that, right?'
Luckily for Bob, no player would ever dream of coming to Delm's Gorge. It was safe to say that none of the players witnessed his fall. However, someone indeed saw him but not from the game.
'This is the player Bernilli has been following around? Is he an idiot?'
Standing up, Bob quickly fixed his stance and WALKED. Towards his enemy. He was being careful not to fall again.
TWACK!
He evaded the preemptive strike of the Fatmin before him by crouching down. He retaliated with a forward strike and the Fatmin shrieked.
[You dealt 1200 damage.]
The raw power of speed and weight showed itself. Bob didn't use his buffs yet either.
'Hmm. I'll mess with him. I already got what I wanted anyway.'
Bob continued hitting the Fatmin and unlike before, he finished the battle within tens of seconds. He wanted to celebrate his growth but before he could retreat-
~fizzle~
A portal suddenly opened below his feet and swallowed him inside. Lavanuk—who was floating—dove to the portal to follow after Bob and was able to get in. The portal soon closed and disappeared as if nothing happened.
Hey guys, I'm going to take a break for a couple of days.
