I enjoyed the fight between Mai and Iris. It was no doubt that Iris was powerful. I could expect nothing less from the daughter of the Lux warriors.
I looked at Ling, the fight was a blessing to her. Ling was a big fan girl of witchcraft and seeing it in action probably excited her.
" Wanna go quiz her later?", I suggested to Ling. Her face brightened at my idea. She immediately agreed, I needed to know everything about Iris's parents.
We found Iris at the library.
" What're you doing? ", Ling asked her.
" I'm studying about mythical creatures like Mai suggested. "
" It's amazing that you want to learn more about us. Can I ask you a few questions? ", Ling enthusiastically asked.
I groaned inwardly, I had brought Ling here with me so I could hide my love for the Lux warriors, but it looked like all she was going to do was ask about witchcraft.
Iris agreed to answer her questions.
" It's amazing that you can use your enchantments to do anything."
" No, that's not how it works, the only thing enchantments can do is make me telekinetic, create and control some things like fire, ice, water, air, earth, trees, woods, etc. "
" That's amazing..." Before Ling could continue I cut her off with my own questions. She glared at me in response.
" How were your parents like at home? To us, they were the Lux warriors, strong brave and courageous. "
A small smile formed on her face as she talked about them.
" They were really simple, clumsy and silly. They were very loving and kind too. "
She continued telling us about her parents and how they trained her. Ling and I listened attentively to everything she said.
As we were listening to everything she said, someone cleared their throat behind us. It was Vera and she was with Wanda. We understood their intentions, so we stood up and left Iris alone.
I would ask her everything about her parents later.
