"Are you really saying this to me?" With a whoosh, the air in Ariel's lungs was knocked out. "Noah, I have loved you. Even if I lied about saving you, my feelings for you have never changed, I still love you so much that you cannot even comprehend—"

"Is that why you ran away from the wedding?" Noah asked, interrupting Ariel's sermons of love. There was a light tremor in the sky as the clouds crashed against one another. And Ariel felt that tremor in her very bones.

Her face went slack as she questioned, "What do you mean? What are you saying, Noah? I never ran away, it was Ariana who—"

"Shut up! Shut the hell up, Ariel," Noah raised his finger and placed it against his lips as he silenced Ariel who was still hanging onto whatever lies she could speak in front of him. 

The words that Ariel wanted to speak or say to him ended abruptly as Noah looked at her with a terrifyingly cold gaze. 

"Do you think that you were intelligent huh?"
