He shrugged like it was no big deal "I believe what we had was special but may not have gotten to a love state, like what I feel for you and what you and Xueyi share."

"Yeah. There was that chemistry, but as soon as Yu An found out about my family's company, she backed away, distancing herself from me."

"No one would want a scandal on their tail and reputation," Andromeda informed him. She barely knew Yu An but she could tell she was a very calculative woman.

"She did not think of that before coming to me, even after my engagement." He scoffed; clearly, he wasn't intrigued by how what they shared was thrown out the window.
