Wang Yao drove Tong Wei back to Dao City the next morning.
What had happened last night was only known to those who were involved. The morning in town was still peaceful and quiet.
The two of them didn't speak in the car. They just listened to the sad pop songs on the radio.
"Are you still thinking about what happened last night?" asked Wang Yao as he noticed Tong Wei didn't look well.
"Yes," said Tong Wei softly.
"You'll be better in the next few days." Some herbs could help reduce post-traumatic stress. However, Tong Wei's condition was not serious; she would return to normal without medication.
Wang Yao drove slowly. They arrived at Dao City three hours later. They went to Tong Wei's unit first.
Tong Wei made Wang Yao a cup of tea after entering the unit. The two of them sat on the couch and chatted for a while.
"Would you like to grab some food?" asked Wang Yao.
"Okay," said Tong Wei.
