75% Eldritch Avatar / Chapter 3: Of Supernatural and Recruitment

章 3: Of Supernatural and Recruitment

It has been a few months since Okane arrived at this new world, he has begun to see nothing different about it aside from some few... unfitting events.

There has been news of earthquakes even though the area didn't seem to be destroyed because of a natural disaster.

There was random noises throughout the night and they sounded a little too big for birds.

And lastly, he started noticing some beings observe him. They weren't necessarily troublesome as they only seemed to scout but he noted their peculiarity in which they were all always on top of buildings.

He kept the theory that they weren't humans as 80% probable.

Okane has also bought his own private base of operations, his own new identity as the Japanese-American Money Takusano.

Which is still Okane Takusano.

He robbed a few more banks after the initial run, taking advantage of the waiting time to set his papers and managed to amass about 14 million dollars, which was plenty enough to start whatever he wishes to start.

One of which was a protection racket/loan shark business.

The Eldritch.

In just a few weeks after he started it, he crushed the competition. Quite literally. Him alone going all around the city and obliterating gangs, the loan shark business was doing so-so, it was still too early to reap the loans.

He also started engaging in recruiting henchmen, he didn't need any for physical activities, but just so he could ask them to gather the loans. He didn't have time to do those.

He paid as cheaply as they would allow.

Right now, Okane was planning to interrupt a drug trade that he just so happen to hear about.

Was it coincidental? Yes, along with being suspicious, he was 60% sure it was a bait but he didn't care, not like they could do anything to him.

He waited behind a pillar and hid himself in the dark of the night. He watched as the people he assumed carried drugs arrived, they wore hoods and weirdly were all black, meanwhile the other side was black as well?

Soon, he was met with an object made of light attempting to stab him from his position.

'So it was a bait'

Okane was slightly elated, it seems like he was going to really need to put up a human organ shop sometime soon.

All these organs and corpses he could sell.

Perhaps he will also go and do drug business? He will have to eventually reach a big enough position and a steady flow of money.

He dodged the spear made of light and charged towards the one who shot it, the person seems to be alarmed of his speed and hastily FLEW away.

Black wings revealed themselves and Okane was slightly shocked.

Not too much, he was already starting to be aware of how others could also be different.

He assumed a lot, maybe super powered individuals or heck he even thought it was mutants.

But, that was quickly thrown out of the window as each the black clad people revealed their wings and a extremely seductive lady stepped up.

"We come with hopes for negotiation, Mr. Money"

Okane grunted, negotiation? Hmph, as long as he gets something profitable.

"Ok then missy, tell me what negotiation are we going to have?"

The lady allowed her wings to disappear as she walked forward with confidence and held out a handshake.

"We are America's Grigori Branch, we assume you are aware of the supernatural and thus we don't need to explain much"

Okane cracked his neck.

"I'm not actually aware. I'd appreciate it if you make me so, are you some sort mutants?"

The Fallen Angel had a slight twitch at her expressions and some of them nearly wanted to attack Okane for that.

"Oh, no. We are Fallen Angels, we are Angels who has 'fallen' from grace but that's only as simple as it gets, he fell because we wanted freedom, we are naturally of higher standing the you humans, so I must ask are you willing to come with us?"

Okane stared down at the Fallen and made a money sign with his fingers.

"How much can you pay me? I assume this is a recruitment, no?"

"Pay?"

"Money"

...

The Fallen Angel had her features twitch in annoyance, never before has a human brazenly asked for MONEY out of all things, money wasn't even part of their needs, it wasn't part of the earthly pleasure they fell for.

"As much as you would possibly like even"

They really had no problems with getting papers with slightly higher value than usual, yet humans troubled and even killed themselves over such things.

Okane hearing those smiled. He likey-likey, poor choice of words but he didn't care.

"Well then, how about we start with making a contract about this? I'll join you and you promise me that you'll pay me as much as I want"

Okane pulled out a paper form from his pockets and a pen, the Fallen did not move.

"Are you mocking us?"

Okane who saw that their reactions were less than willing sighed. He really wished that worked.

Imagine getting 10 billion for basically just coming with some feathered people, assuming they can provide so.

Why wasn'tt he exactly going to ask for more than 10 billion? Because he didn't just want many money, he wants to be the Lord of the economy, he wants to let the world continue as it does but with him on the top of the hierarchy.

Taking over the world wasn't his wish, it was being the richest ever.

Back to the Fallens, Okane shook his head.

"I am not. As you can see, I am in love with money, money is my goal in life and if you're planning to recruit me or something, then you must pay me for how much I am worth"

The Fallen Angel calmed herself, she realized that she was planning to ruin their branch leader's plans for no reason.

He was just a man who greeded for a piece of paper.

She took the form and made a hard platform made of Holy Energy as a makeshift table and signed all the details, so did Okane and after that he rolled it again and brought it inside his pockets.

"Now then, to where will you bring me?"

A magic circle appeared nearby. It glew with purple radiance.

"First, you must meet our leader. He is not the highest in command in all of Grigori but for this branch he is, step unto the teleportation circle"

Okane suspiciously eyed but remembering that he essentially got launched off from space all the way to this Earth didn't make him worried about whatever they had in plan.

It was true, immortality makes one slothful, good for Okane he's more money minded than anything but he couldn't deny his unhesitant decision to instead rob a bank. He wouldn't have done that if he wasn't immortal or so.

"I'll trust you won't do anything stupid"

Okane stepped into the world of the supernatural.
