In an endless plane, above the horizon the deepest black devouring light across its ephemeral breadth, the ground it antithesis. An endless flat ground of incomparable light, shimmering is all colors known and unknown, radiating against the sky itself.
There in this infinite and incomprehensible place, stood two men of incomparable design. One baring eyes of unfeeling crimson red and hair blacker than the very sky behind him, apathy rout upon his visage as he stared at his other.
The other who likeness shone so similar, but crowned by hair of silver out shining the holiest and most sanctified stars. His eyes, baring all the warmth and color of dawn itself. Pity tantamount to god himself, returned the stare.
"Do you remember?" Whispered the light, "his lessons, they ones that led us here?"
"Silence" was the reply he received from the dark.
"Do you remember… his love, our reason why?" Continued the light as faint sparks rose from the ground.
"Silence…" again was all the dark said.
"Do you remember our family, the ones we cast aside for our dreams, betrayed?" the light probed with a melancholy suffusing his words, the glow greater now.
"…" the sky loomed a subtle presence filling its infinite scope.
"The dreams we shared, torn asunder under our claws, devoured by our maws, rotting in front of our very eyes." The melancholy now reeled upon by pure sadness. Glow gives way to flames of regal gold, grasping at them both with the most tender of caresses.
"…" a storm of shadows, phantoms and turmoil built and built above them both. The growing tension shook as neither of them broke from their locked eyes.
"If it didn't hurt at all, then it wouldn't mean a thing… but I never knew I could feel this way" the light whispered as his hand grip his chest over his heart, straining against the undercurrent of emotions running through him.
"Especially after what we did too li-"
"BE SILENT" chaos erupted with the wrathful voice of the dark. Pillar of pure umbra, pierced down from the infinite above. The apathy displaced by pure unadulterated rage, baring straight at the light, his teeth sharply frame in a growl.
And then there was silence, as light stood still, pity returned to his expression. The clash of the two opposed elements returned to their original stillness.
"Fine… remain in your delusion, your prideful and spiteful dream." The light then dimmed as if slowly fading from this plane. Slowing dimming until all that remained was an orb, a perfect round gem, a warm golden amber. The orb then merged within the ground, to re#%{>+.
The dark stared at where the light faded, his expression slowly returning to apathy, wrath left behind but never forgotten. NEVER.
(|carnal| by NOTHING MORE)
Slowly turning away, the dark turned his back to the light and looked to the sky.
(Everything is better when you're dreaming)
He closes his eyes hiding his shattered soul, from the lights judging gaze and the void above's hungering one.
(Everything is better when your world fades out)
A faint glow of neither light nor dark, hugs his body. Its phantom radiance hidden from the two primordial sources.
(Everything is better when you're dreaming)
His body rises slowly from the ground as twelve large limbs silently appear behind his back.
(Everything is better when you leave the ground)
As he rises evermore in the black, the ground blinks out of existence.
(You leave the ground)
And so too does the dark, the black Ivory of the sky fading away as well..
(The world fades out)
Leaving him resting in a place with nothing, no time, no space, no light and no dark. Only him.
(When you're dreaming)
Slowly his wings closed in and wrapped around him, locking him back in his own world, his dream.
(Everything is better when you're dreaming)
In his mind, HE spoke.
(Now if you breathe in and hold it)
His very first memories playing back before him, as his mind slowly began drifting away.
(You lose your breath)
A young bird, first of its siblings, learning to be alive.
(But if you breathe out it comes back to you (It comes back to you, it comes back to you))
His struggles with matching the expectations of HIM.
(If you want life, don't cling to it)
The times he achieved them, surpassed them!
(Let go, let go, let go)
The slowly growing pride, the arrogance it will foretell.
(Let go, let go, let go (yeah))
His first sin!
(Carnal nature (fill my lungs again))
His final virtue.
(Carnal nature)
