When it became clear that she refused to speak, Uriel made the first move and slashed at her with the Red thread of fate, though the woman blocked his movement at the height of the hand.

Without missing a beat, Uriel shifted the dagger to his other hand and repeated the movement while at the same time summoning his revolver in his now free hand. The gunshots pierced through the silence of the peaceful town, but the bullets bounced off as though it was an orichalcum wall instead of a huntress. The Red thread of fate fared no better, but only because the woman was cautious enough to either dodge or block Uriel's onslaught.
