章 9: Ten Months, sabotage, Entrance Exam
Me and Deku kept in touch since our meeting talking about general stuff and getting to know each other since we were the only two people to know the truth about the systems and past lives. That fact kinda shakes me because I want to trust Momo but I'm worried it might scare her off. Besides that he was doing strength training with all might but due to his stronger base and chakra helping with recovery time he got done cleaning degobah beach in record time of 5 and a half months. I think he cheated with the mystic palm technique a little bit on top of that but I'm not gonna call him out on it.
As far as I know he has OFA now and is training with all might for control. He has a good head start on canon since he knows about full cowl not mentioning sharingan that helps to visually see and gauge how much he is putting in. Speaking off after he had finished with that he got a week off and in that week he and I used shadow clones so no one worries as I had HK switch our eyes out for the EMS. We learned from the systems that since his both our eyes were granted by systems that we don't need the blood relation to unlock eternal Mangekyō just switching eyes.
Otherwise it would have costed a pretty penny. I was curious how he got his mangekyo but turns out it was the same way as me by stimulating memories of dying and death in general. We got lucky that we didn't need to kill anyone for them and only needed to be strong enough to support them.
In those 6ish months Momo and me didn't slack either as we practiced and trained together. I mostly helped her get stronger but she supported me and in my opinion that was more than enough. Who needs a sparring partner when you can just enjoy a lap pillow. I also had to convince her to take the recommendation since there was only a limited number of students that can get into 1-A. I already was affecting the canon by adding another variable into the mix so I had to do a little extra homework of my own.
I consulted with Deku and we agreed on our mutual decision but I had a bit more enthusiasm to get rid of, in my opinion, a tumor of UA. All I had to do was plant a suggestion to visit a certain alleyway on the day of the entrance exam where my shadow clones using transformation jutsu and BAM! He will fall for it hook line and sinker. Goodbye Mineta you can kiss your position in the class goodbye.
Was my choice influenced because he is an ugly midget that will attempt to ogle and molest the love of my current life, yes. But on a basic principle I agree with Iron man/Tony Stark's philosophy that 'If your nothing without the quirk (suit), you don't deserve it'. Does a lot of class 1-A fill this category? Maybe, but I feel that his helpless personality and literal failure to do anything that isn't throwing balls at people makes him especially so.
Anyways after the first 6 months that left me and Deku with 4 to use sparring and training Taijutsu, ninjutsu, and genjutsu. I also included some kenjutsu in there since he has been begging me for a lightsaber and it would take me about 1 month in to class to finish his, I could get it done faster but even if I have Revan's memory and experience, I don't have any experience. It is like a tutorial video on YouTube, except more personable. With all the training and sparring I got a good deal of experience out of it and brushed up on my fundamental basics. Not only that but I was able to practice my genjutsu more than ever before along with Deku's insight in his attempts to use the sharingan without any teachings.
The fact that quirks that can affect the brain or strong willed people can break control was good to know. Someone like Bakugo could brute force out or someone like Denki as his electricity recoils to his brain. He might be able to handle all that recoils from using his quirk but it still messes with brain enough to render the genjutsu ineffective. The last surefire escape method is a good blow to the head shaking up the brain besides outside sources of pain. I blame quirk factor, and that's all I'm gonna say on that.
After all that training and time it was finally time to take the entrance exam. Momo made sure to wish me luck and I made my way out to meet Deku at the the gates of UA as I know he wants to trigger the meeting Uraraka event. He wants to start a good friendship and develop to a crush and later relationship, although he probably wouldn't have done this if not for me. Originally he had no plans but seeing that I was dating Momo he got a little jealous but moved on quickly enough knowing I would fight to the death for her same way he would for his precious people.
I stood by him making small talk till Bakugo shoulder checked Deku and kept moving on giving him his que. I smiled since I was expecting that thanks to Deku's heads up, Bakugo's demeanor was better since Deku had a quirk and acknowledged him as a rival already. No need for him to get pissy and cry anymore since it already happened. After that I watched him trip over his own leg on purpose and not gonna lie I laughed when he face planted on the ground to float back up too late.
She apologized profusely saying it was a bad omen to trip right before the exam and meant to catch him with her quirk. Deku meanwhile was fixing me a glare for laughing but seeing the scrape from falling only made me laugh harder so he gave up and handled the worry sick girl promising it will be okay and saying something cheesy like "You can make it up to me by telling me your name." I finally settled down by that point to just keep walking leaving him to his own devices and just kinda coast through the written exam, papa bless sharingan, and twiddle my thumbs waiting for Mic to finish the explanation.
See the thing I wasn't expecting was Iida calling me out of nowhere "And you, with the pony tail and cat ears. If you think UA is some sort of cake walk leave this place at once!" People laugh manly boys out of both anxiety and malice for my looks, that was until I fixed everyone with a glare from my sharingan. Most being corralled including Iida as the main recipient of said glare. After that everything continued as usual till we separated and made our ways to the battlegrounds. I still find it ridiculous that they had 7 of these mock cities.
I look around and apparently I'm in a group of nondescript hopefuls that never got near UA since I can't recognize anyone besides Shinso. Anyways I hold my sheathed sword in one hand giving it a could practice swings, what fucking snipe use a god damn gun, you think I can't take a sword. I settle my emotions down since I got defense when a lot of them started giving me looks for the sword 'Fine I won't use the sword and show you guys up more.' I think as I prepare my favorite jutsu while waiting for the go.
The gate slams down and Mic yells "Begin!" I don't wait as everyone in my test site hears the sounds of birds crying out signaled the beginning of my rampage. By the time most people looked to the sound there was only a gouge in the ground as a trail guiding people my path of destruction before finally shaking off and moving albeit with more hesitation than before as no one wanted to accidentally walk into the angry lightning bolt making 3 pointers look like paper mache.
So by the time 8 minutes passed most people were fighting over 1-2 pointers while only wreckage remained of the 3 pointers near a gouge of earth in a crazy trail pattern. Then as the Zero pointer presented itself everyone ran while I waited and watched for anyone in trouble. I admit I wanted to avoid rescue points since I don't want to make it obvious I know the score system but shit can get reckless and I gotta look good for my momo. After not seeing anyone I let my eye evolve into EMS and gather chakra for one final attack of the day. Seeing the blundering bot look to the one person yet to move it suddenly lurches back and swats at its own head slowly being devoured by black flames. "The Test is Over!!!"
