" Congratulations Madam, it's a healthy baby boy!"

A cheerful and warm voice called out while holding on to a small and frail newborn. The child was completely wrapped in a velvet silk blanket with gold trim. Obviously a sign of wealth, yet while others would clearly notice the lavishness the one wrapped inside had not.

'What the heck, why can't I see or hear anything? In all those Isekai manga and novels the protagonist can always do both perfectly, so why can't I?!'

While the newborn was in fact just that, it's soul was not of one, instead it belonged to Daniel Baxter. A self proclaimed nerd who loved all things pop culture related, with anime and manga being his favorite. Unfortunately for him, mostly everything in both those things are complete fictionalized. Such as a newborn being able to clearly see or hear their surroundings, they can't.

On the bright side, babies are usually handled with great cate by their parents. So he shouldn't be in any trouble and in due time his body will mature enough to do both of those things.

It was also quite fortunate that Daniel didn't hear what was being said about him. Specifically the long self absorbed rant his new biological father went on while speaking to his mother.

"Damn, why did you have to go and get yourself pregnant?! I've already got two stinking brats running around and now I've got to take care of another!"

" I-I'm sorry dear.."

"What can your sorry do for me now?! I'm at my wit's end trying to find a solution to my dwindling wealth and now this! Damnit all! I'm going to the pub!"

Not saying another word the man who'd become Daniel's father stormed out of the room. Leaving the strained young woman who gave birth moments ago to softly cry while holding on to her child.

Two Months Later

Life in a fantasy world depicted in anime, manga, and novels was usually great, not for Daniel. Who quickly found out that while he did in fact get reincarnated into a Nobel family in a fantasy world it was one in deep decline.

The first time he was made aware of this was about two weeks ago when his hearing and vision returned. Having both of his major senses he was excited to take in this new life of his. Sadly what he witnessed was a mostly empty Manor and his father drinking away their dwindling wealth.

'You've got to be kidding me. How the hell did I end up in such a shitty situation?!My mom albeit innocent is way too passive about our livelihood. My two stepbrothers are complete fucking morons and father... he's the worst of the bunch! He drinks all day and is obviously way over his head as far as managing a Nobel Household goes.'

That last line was actually in reference to a deal his father agreed to yesterday. Where he'd Invest a large sum of money into a Magical Ore Mine, one which most likely didn't even exist. Daniel figured that out when the man kept dodging any and all questions pertaining to the mines location. Yet his father didn't press on any further and handed over the agreed amount.

It would have been fine if that was all, but it wasn't, overhearing some of the servants. Daniel learned that his father owed a massive amount of debt to various other Noble's. Which forced him to either sell or pawn their family Magical Heirlooms to pay back said debt. There was also the fact that although his father was the city lord his power in the city were almost non-existent. To the point where most of the city was now supposedly under the rule of another Noble.

'If things keep going like this by the time I'm old enough to speak it'll be to panhandle. For now I'll have to put my Master Plan of being a good for nothing young master on hold. Since we'll probably lose our nobility and all of our wealth by how things continue like this..'

Although Daniel had come to this realization he knew it was far too early for him to act. He was but a few months old and could not yet speak much less help his failing family. So he only prayed to the God that brought him here that by the time he could, it wouldn't be too late.

Three Years Later

Not many changes occurred in these passing years, well to be precise they did just not for the better. To start off with his father was finally forced to sell away his last few remaining lands outside the city. Next his stepbrothers who were decades older than Daniel, invested their shared inheritance into a business that went bankrupt in a months time. Then around a year ago Daniel was seemingly sold off in an arranged marriage to his uncle's family.

Of course the deal with his uncle was the most shocking to Daniel as he would have to marry his younger cousin. Someone he'd never met before because at the time of the marriage contract was just days old. Yet the most insulting part of the deal to Daniel wasn't the incest, but rather the price he was sold for, 3,000 Gold Coins.

'I was sold for 3,000 coins.. that's how much my life is worth. Fuck my life, that's barely enough to pay back a fourth of our current debt..'

Another minor change was Daniel's or rather Aleksander's growth both physically and mentally. The latter of which was a necessity seeing that his family were seemingly content living in mediocrity. That's why at the tender age of two years old, Aleksander made it very clear that he was genius.

This was also why just a few months later Aleksander was sold off to his Uncle's Family.

Aleksander's sudden change was due to him unable to spectate any longer, as his family plunged itself deeper into the abyss. For that reason he displayed his much superior intelligence and got ahold of many books. No, not magic books, but rather books focusing on this kingdom's history and this city's infrastructure.

'My family may be in a serious financial crisis but thankfully I'm here to save the day. Let's just hope things don't further spiral downwards, so I can focus on learning as much as possible. Though as I'm thinking this they've probably already made some other idiotic mistake... God why did you send me here?'
