You know the sentient magical cape from Dr. Strange that is doing "funny" comedic relief from time to time? I saw a clip of that and it made me feel dirty because I know this is uniquely WESTERN. Other cultures don't do that. It is humor on the level of a baby. Reading this story reminds me of that.
