章 1: The Beginning
Piccolo was in a predicament, right now, in front of him were two powerful enemies who would not hesitate to kill everything and anyone in their way.....only for their amusement.

Piccolo was today again training as usual, he was in deep thought, goku had died, his rival and, friend. He didn't want to admit it but he had long forgotten his quest of conquering earth. He was just to prideful to say it directly. Goku's death made him realize how much he actually cared for him.
'Even Vegeta, this guy, has stopped immersing himself into training since 3 months ago after showing a surge in power. He probably discovered super saiyan.' Piccolo thought.
After all, vegeta sole goal was now to surpass goku and defeat him, but since he wasn't alive anymore, what was the purpose of it ?
'-lo.... Piccolo !' a voice emerged in the namek's mind. "Who is it ? Show yourself !" Piccolo said while taking a defensive stance, his expression tense but still sensed some familiarity in this voice.
'It's me piccolo, Kami ! I need you to go to west Papaya island right now.' Kami said with a voice full of worry.
'What do you want old man ?' Piccolo was clearly not happy to hear this voice, he didn't like his other part Kami.
'There are two 'persons' who are causing a mass killing there, I have already informed all the fighters available right now, they are on their way, you two hurry.' Kami retorded.
"Hmph !" Piccolo did not respond but still made his way to the so called island.
'I do not know how powerful they are but in worst case, I would have to fuse with piccolo' Kami thought. He wasn't sure whether if he would let that happen since he didn't know the might of the threat.
Papaya island,
"So there they are..." Yamcha said while looking at the androids performing a genocide.
"Hey, all of you, don't do anything stupid, we don't know how much they are strong, their energy are also not detectable." Piccolo said while warning all the Z Fighters, who all nodded in agreement except Vegeta.
"You weakling don't have the right to order me." Vegeta said and rushed over the androids.
They all looked at vegeta with mixed feelings, but not a 30 seconds passed and Gohan made his entrance.
"Hi piccolo, i rushed over here after Kami warned me. it was a hassle to escape my mom but I managed." Gohan said with a cheerful look, he had not seen Piccolo, krillin and the others since his father's death.
"Hey Gohan, we are in for tough opponents, are you ready for this ?" Krillin asked worry clearly showing on his face. After all, this was his bestfriend's son, he couldn't let him walk to his death.
"It's okay krillin, I feel better now. "Gohan was eager to make a difference. His mom after his father's death has been depressive and pressed further Gohan into his studies while refusing him for him to train. She didn't want to lose her only son.
"Okay, let's go what those guys are after !" Piccolo said and they all followed vegeta who was about to make contact with the two murderers.
Vegeta then appeared while deflecting a ki blast. "Hey, Who are you and what do you want ?" Vegeta asked with a deep smile on his face. He finally had the chance to let loose and was not going to hold back.
"Ho-ho, look who we have here 18, isn't that vegeta ? " The man with black hair said. "Yeah your plan really worked, just killing some people attracted them like flies. Look who are following him just behind." 18, the blonde woman said while noticing piccolo and the others.
"Hey, I'm still here, you trash !" Vegeta said furiously for being ignored.
"You want to know who we are, I guess we can tell you that." The man said. "We are androids created by doctor Gero, a mad scientist from the red ribbon army, I am 17 and she is 18." 17 said while keeping his arrogant demeanor.
"So just some trash machines huh ?" Vegeta mockingly said.
"Huh ? The red ribbon army ? Isn't that the army goku personally exterminated while still young..." Krillin said keeping his guard.
"Correct ! And We were made to kill our target, Son Goku !" She said dramatically while smiling.
"Ha, haha, HAHAHAHA !" Vegeta bursts out in laughter. "Kakarot is dead, since a while ago now, your existence is devoid of purpose."
The androids looked a bit shocked. Their existence was no devoid of purpose and was meaningless.
"Well, we can still kill all of you." 17 pointed at vegeta and then at all the z fighters.
"Try me, you trash machines !" Vegeta started releasing more energy then finally, he transformed into a super saiyan.
"What !? he unlocked super saiyan ? wasn't this a transformation only possible by goku ?" This was the reaction of the Z-fighters on the sidelines.
"Shocked aren't you ? " Vegeta then explained how he unlocked this form and how his heart is pure but pure evil. But the androids reaction weren't as vegeta expected, they were unfazed as if they could hold a candle to him. That was ridiculous, right ?
But what happened next traumatized the Z-fighters, 18 Killed vegeta mercilessly in matter of minutes.
Piccolo then saw Gohan, the kid wanted to intervene. He could not let that happen, he knew of Gohan's potential but this time the gap was simply too big. This is where he made a decision. He knocked out Gohan and then thrower him over to krillin.
"Krillin, take the kid and bring him back to his mother, we can't let Gohan die a meaningless death here. We will hold them back." Krillin nodded and dashed without looking back.
After some time, Krillin finally arrived with gohan at his home. Chichi quickly came and opened
"Gohan, where have you been ?! I searched fo-" She stopped and looked at her son in krill's arms and quickly snatched him. "What did you do to my son ?!"
"Nothing, enemies beyond our strength have appeared and they even killed vegetarians already, flee from this place the androids know all about goku, since he is their target they may come to take's Gohan's life, I need to go now !" Krillin quickly dashed towards the battlefield again. he knew he was heading to his death, but still charged forward...
A Day later, Gohan woke up.
Gohan woke up, his neck clearly a bit swollen.
"Where am I ?" Everything was unfamiliar to him, he looked around and did not recognize this room features. He got out of the room and found his mother and grandfather in the sofa watching the news.
"MOM ! Where are we ? " He quickly rushed to his mother. "And what happened, why am I here ? I was supposed to help mister piccolo."
"Chichi, you should tell him." Gyumao said to his daughter who was looking very worried about letting know what happened to her son fearing his reaction. She didn't want him to go fight the androids, she had lost her husband and was not going to lose her son.
"Haaaa"Chichi sighed and then told what probably happened from what she knew and the news.
"Piccolo, krillin and all the others are dead ? "Gohan clearly showed an expression of incredible powerlessness and sadness. "No dragon balls too..."
"Hey, hear me this time, I don't want you riski-" Chichi couldn't finish her sentence as her son suddenly passed out from the shock.
"GOHAN !" Screamed Chichi and Gyumao.
As chichi laid down her son on the bed she fell asleep at his bedside. But Gohan was experiencing something different altogether.
"Hng-" Gohan held his chest in pain still asleep like he was having a nightmare, his body was heating up, but luckily, it quickly stopped. Suddenly outside the supposed house, in a faraway place, something was hovering, in the night not knowing where it was and what it was anymore but suddenly a force suddenly pulled him downwards.
It was so strong, the thing thought it was going to die this time. This time ?
Son Gohan not knowing was pulling this thing towards him, his trauma was so intense, it left a big scar in his psyche, his inherent instinct tried to heal it by any means possible. The thing was then absorbed and finally Gohan seemed to reach a state of calmness.
"hmm....?" Gohan opened his eyes slowly and woke up, but he was different, he was not gohan. At least part of him.
Gohan looked around ans saw his mother sleeping soundly. He now inspected his body and seemed to asses something.
'So that's what happened...' Gohan knew he was different the thing that merged with him was none other than a soul, who didn't have any recalling of what and where he was. Now with the merged he remembered.
I was just a college student that died in a traffic accident. 'Mom, dad, I may have died but I'm okay right now, kind of' He was an otaku, of course.
Assessing now the memories of Gohan, he quickly understood what happened, he was saved by piccolo or someone else and him and his family fled to this sort of hideout.
But he wasn't just in the body of Gohan, he was now a part of gohan and gohan a part of him, they had become one person. He felt all the sheer guilt gohan had right now. They were now theirs.
'Recalling the events, I seem to be in the future timeline.' Thought the young boy with dread taking him over. Yes he was a db fan and yes he truly wanted Gohan to be able to thrive, but that doesn't mean he wanted to become gohan.
He was scared, there were enemies far above the likes of the androids, Black goku, moro, and he didn't even know if everything would follow canon, the sheer pressure on him continued to grow as he realized his role in all of this. and even so, their world was kind of doomed to be erased by zen'o, how would he, who was just a lambda, going to overcome this. The gohan side of hime could not shake off those insecurities.
"Gohan, are you awake ?" Chichi looked up and was tearing up. "Oh, my baby boy..." Chichi hugged her son. "Don't scare me like that again."
"I'm okay mom." Gohan said still trying to shake off the uneasiness. As he felt the tight embrace of his mother, he felt his heart calming by the minute. His worries were alleviated. This really is his mother.
"Everything is gonna be okay." Said gohan.
....
"Honey, sleep tight, your mother is tired too, see you tomorrow." Chichi went to sleep in her own room, she was tired and needed rest.
Gohan was in deep thinking.
"There is only one thing to do now." I got up from the bed and took a notebook as i wrote everything I knew about dragon ball.
First, the androids, they are not that strong to beat but there is something about the future timeline that was strange. I was supposed to have a potential greater than every Z-fighter and was even the first person to attain super saiyan 2. But in the future timeline, none of that happened, i was only a super saiyan, which right haven't even unlocked.
There is also the fact that they never went to new Namek, they didn't know where it was but never asked Kaio, I might as well give it a chance.
I sneaked out of the house and stood in the middle of the sky, "KAIO SAMA ! CAN YOU HEAR ME ?" Nothing happened.
"KAIO SAMA? PLEASE? RESPOND !" But nothing happened, and I continued for at least half an hour, but no response in sight.
'Well I guess something must have happened' I thought as I made my way back to the house. I noted that Kaio couldn't be reached. Watching dragon ball z, you would wonder why they never kept the Senzu, well it was stated that Korin got killed while allowing Yajirobe to escape, so probably no Senzu beans.
Also Goku or any of the Z-fighters could have come for one day on earth with baba's help but that never happened. Maybe something happened in the otherworld realm ?
There is also the Hyperbolic time chamber but there is Mr Popo in Kami's lookout, even if the lookout was destroyed he would still rebuild it. So there is my chance.
Also, things that could get annoying, Also Moro and the heaters could cause some trouble too.
"Haaaa, there are too many threats." I also haven't put beerus in the calculation, but he risked getting killed so I better train well so the shin of the future doesn't get killed by Dabra.
I continued pouring all the information and possible outcomes that I could face in the note and for now I devised a plan :
-Train with Master Roshi
-Find the old Frieza ship that he used when he came with his father on earth and give the remains of it to bulma to find planet Yardratz
-Defeating the androids
-Destroy Gero's laboratory
For now that's all. Training with master Roshi will me learn true martial arts and he has a few useful techniques, hell maybe he can teach me the clone technique of Tien, master Roshi is genius who figured ultra instinct after all.
Doctor Gero's laboratory should still have cell in it at this point of time, and I kind of know the location of it, it was shown in the series. But the biggest problem would be for me to go there and destroy while escaping from the androids, they could pop up any moment.
'I have so much to do' I thought a bit overwhelmed by the situation. But I'm not going to give up. My mother Chichi, Bulma and everyone on this planet, I am going to save them !
"I shall at least do my part, since now I know what I need to do !"

章 2: Gero's laboratory.
"That was a bit cringe, wasn't it ? " standing alone In my room as I blushed a little bit.
The next day,
I was already eating a hefty meal as I tried to gather informations on my location and the situation.
I headed back to my room while escaping the eye of mom, she could tell me to go study anytime, and I did not have time for this kind of secondary activity, for now at least.
First of all, we are in a hideout of Gyumao, my grandpa, he said that it was something he kept hidden even when his castle on mount Frypan was destroyed by Master Roshi, here there is a lot of resources so no risk dying of hunger.
Second of all we are quite far from Master's Roshi island, sure his island was far anyway but like we are really far away, even with my strength and speed, there is no way I am going there in less than 2 hours.
Third, we have news androids are going on a rampage, there are still quite a few active channels as surprising as it may be, but that's not really impossible it has after all only been roughly two days since the androids appearance.
First I need to convince my mom to let me train with master Roshi. I don't think it's going to be that hard, and plus in the original series, I had gone from home without mom noticing, she was really sad.
But I don't intend to leave without warning, I probably did it because I was still child and thought my mom wouldn't let me.
Reaching Master Roshi's island at second thought isn't going to be difficult after giving it a second thought. They are busy massacring people and with a little detour, I could easily avoid cities therefore avoid the androids since they can't detect energy anyway. BUT, I also need to go to the Gero's laboratory.
Nevertheless, this is going to be not that difficult too, I learned we are in the north part of earth so near the muscle tower which is in the same region as the Gero's laboratory. I will of course not find it really easily but i have big hints to where it is.
So as I devised my plans for the big trip, time flew and it was already noon. 'It's time to tell mom about the plans.'
So I made my way to the living room, mom was in the kitchen cooking the dinner while Gyumao was asleep on the sofa.
"Mom, I need to talk to you about something." I said with a stern look.
"What is it Gohan ? Why so serious ?" Chichi looked a bit worried, she thought what she was expecting would finally happen, and she feared that. Chichi stooped cooking and made her way to where Gohan is standing. "I am all ears, tell me."
"Mom, I am leaving to train with master Roshi." Gohan said. Chichi heart sank ad it was visible on her face but she quickly regained composure. "Well, I kinda saw it coming, wait a few minutes." Chichi said while Gohan looked a bit shocked. But from the series, he already knew chichi was like that, she would do everything to stop her kids from ever involving themselves in fighting even sometimes it could be a bit excessive but she would always give in.
After a bit, Chichi packed some food for her son and it was not in small quantity, at all. "Gohan..." Chichi then pulled gohan for a hug "Please, come back safe." She was on the verge of tears.
"Don't worry mom, I will be back safe and sound."Gohan said. He had already packed a bit of stuff but now he was loaded but it wan't anything of considerable size enough to slow him down, and he could always throw these away in a dire situation.
'Maybe I should see bulma for some kind of pocket dimension.' I thought.
"See you, mom !" I then erupted in the air with my old phone, yes we were living far from civilization but I still had one of those. It was old but could still hold a map, the servers of internet were still pretty much okay.
Hmm, seems like this world still remembers red ribbon army since they have the muscle tower on this map.
After passing through some magnificent landscapes, and people in cars fleeing from the cities, I arrived to muscle tower. Hmm, this really looks like what was described a tower made of bricks, but it was in ruins.
After that I started ki sensing to spot some people, maybe they could give some good hints but I should make sure I don't fly in front of them, I don't want to be mistaken for an android even if I don't match their descriptions.
As I activated my ki sense, I detected a cluster of grouped ki, must be a village. As I made my way there, it kind of reminded me of something but I brushed it off, as I landed in a grove not far from there i made my way on feet only to find that everyone was hiding in there little igloo like houses. So like the innocent kid I am, I knocked on a door and someone opened and pulled me in and quickly closed the door again.
"Haaa, What is a young kid like you doing outside ? Where are your parents ?"A lady who looked to be in her mid twenties with long red hair and violet eyes. she wore a yellow jacket, a pink scarf that went well with her hair. Not gonna lie, she's kind of beautiful.
'Ugh, I have to act innocent.' Since the merge I Gohan is a little different, I am kind of a child and an adult at the same time. "My name is Son Gohan and I am searching for a place." I said with a cheerful voice. The lady was staring at me, it looked as if she was inspecting me.
'Son Gohan huh ? It's kind of familiar but I don't seem to remember." The woman thought.
She, turned back and took a cup where she poured some kind of hot chocolate I assume, why would you give a child coffee ?
"Here, drink it it's going to warm you up. My name is Suno. Well, what are you searching in the middle of the night ? You know that there two dangerous people that are going around ?"
"Yes, I know but I really need to head to that place, my parents are there." I said inventing a big lie. "It is near where those two persons appeared but I don't exactly know where it is but I stopped here to ask."
"WHAT ? Don't tell me you want to go there ?!"Suno said.
"Yes, it's really important, and I don't think the bad people are there, they have already left for big cities, do you have an idea of where it is supposed to be ?" Gohan said with a really cute look. 'Never doing this again.'
"Well, I do know where it is but I can't let you go there alone...AH, I know." Suno then went out of the house. she seemed have shout someone's name, Hacchan ?
She then came back with a big guy following behind her and I automatically knew who it was, it was android 8.
"Hacchan, this is Son Gohan, he came here looking for the place where his parents are, I hope you can accompany him there, please." Suno was looking at me with worry.
"No problem Suno, but Son Gohan, do you know someone named Son Goku ? " Hacchan said while kind of recognizing me.
"Yes, it's my father." I replied, there was no need to hide this. and they would know I'm not that weak. Plus if It's android 8 there then it's the girl who rescued Goku, they won't have to worry about me.
"Whaaaa, Goku is your father !" Suno exclaimed "Wow, I'm shocked, he already has a child."
"Hey, do you know your father was my friend ?" Hacchan asked Gohan.
"No, I didn't knew." Gohan replied with discomfort in his voice.
"Well now you know, and how is he doing ?" Suno asked
"Well, he died a few months ago..." Gohan replied.
"Oh, I'm so sorry..." Hacchan and Suno replied with sadness in the voice.
.......
After a discussing a while, Gohan followed Hacchan to the androids first spotted location, the passed by a road where they led to truck accident. As hacchan described the place, I remembered it, it was there too android 18 and 17 met the Z-fighters in the canon timeline.
They arrived pretty fast as Gohan didn't need to hide he could fly.
"Well there it is, is it the place you searched ?" Asked Hacchan.
"Yes it is, thank you very much." Gohan replied cheerfully.
"Then farewell, I have village to protect." Hacchan was going back, he became the defender of the village since a long time ago.
'Well it's not going to be that difficult to find that laboratory right now. I'm quite close to it.'
I really was close to it as I saw traces of battle, maybe this time put some kind of resistance before he was killed. Serves him right anyway.
As I followed the last traces there was nothing apart from a small hole in the mountain. But this is the entrance. Honestly I thank myself for being a hard db fan or I would have cried for not finding the Gero's laboratory.
I made my way inside the Holland the door was on the floor, it was pushed by a really string force, there didn't seem to be a security system, well it must have been destroyed when the androids killed dr Gero but I should still be careful and as I entered I found the capsule where android 16 was and he really was in there.
I was a bit scared but android 16 wasn't evil, he was the opposite of that, his only goal was to kill goku, but I couldn't take the risk to activate him, imagine if he wasn't like in the manga. But I decided against destroying him, I would only destroy the part where cell was. After all maybe there would be some good inventions bulma could take here.
I already knew of the passage way to cell hideout. I opened the trap and went further down and finally arrived.
"Whoa, this is really scary and creepy..." I said as I looked at cell in the liquid, he was still in development. He was kind of advanced but not too much. I know it doesn't sound that clear but that is the only way I can describe him as I see him.
'Well better not take long here, I searched through some papers and finally dragged a bunch of papers in the main room and put it there, a for cell, I needed to make sure he thoroughly destroyed, I started levitating as I went up in the passage where the trap was and started gathering ki in my hands.
"MASENKO !" everything was destroyed and burned, I tried ki sensing and cell's life-force quickly extinguished. But I wasn't finished I stayed there flying till the flames calmes down and came back down, cell was not even in its first form he couldn't even think like a person right now. I searched for its corps and found it, it was lying down and there were still signs of life. I then blasted him to oblivion.
"Now it's okay..."
