章 17: Chapter 17: The Defeat of Fusion Android 13 and the Emergence of Cell
Fusion Android 13 unleashed a barrage of energy blasts from his body, obliterating the rocks around him.
Fully recharged, he steadied himself before blasting toward Goku with the speed and force of a comet hurtling through space.

As the mountain gave way, Fusion Android 13 was buried beneath the falling debris. This time, it took him significant effort to dig his way out.

Fusion Android 13 crouched, half-kneeling, one hand bracing against his knee while the other clutched the spot where Goku's attacks had landed. He was breathing heavily.
"How... how is this possible? According to the computer's data, you shouldn't be this strong."
The android had assumed that, even if he couldn't defeat Goku outright, he wouldn't be completely outmatched.
"Relying too much on so-called computer data is the reason for your failure." Goku replied coldly.
Taking advantage of his android body's limitless stamina, Fusion Android 13 began to recover quickly.
But this time, instead of launching another reckless attack, he hesitated. He now understood that he was no match for Goku in his current state.
His main role here is to stall Goku and his group so that Android 20 can activate Androids 17 and 18, who are stronger than him.

Suddenly, dozens of blasts shot from Fusion Android 13's hands, scattering chaotically through the air before crashing down to the ground.

The android crashed to the ground, heavily injured once again and unable to get back up.
Goku gathered energy in his palm, intending to eliminate Fusion Android 13 completely and then pursue Android 20.
Given how much the history had already changed, Goku wasn't sure if Androids 17 and 18 had already been activated. If they had, he would need to deal with them as well.
Just as Goku was about to finish Fusion Android 13, a green figure suddenly leapt into the scene.
"Cell!?"
Recognizing the figure, Goku shouted its name in shock.
The new arrival was none other than Cell, and not just any form—this was the Perfect Cell.

Cell spoke with excitement as he reveled in his newfound strength.
"But I have you to thank for all of this, Goku. If you hadn't gone to the future and destroyed the Androids 17 and 18 there, I wouldn't be here now."
Cell's words made Goku realize the truth behind his origins.
"Since you came from the future, how did you defeat Gohan and the others? With their strength, you shouldn't have been able to make it here."
Goku pressed Cell for answers.
"Of course, I stole the time machine and arrived in this era while they weren't paying attention," Cell explained gleefully.
['It seems the future is safe.'] Goku thought, exhaling a small sigh of relief. If the future he had fought to protect had been destroyed, he would have immediately turned his attention to killing this Cell here.
"So, what is your purpose for being here now?"
Goku asked Cell directly.
"Haha, isn't it obvious? It's to kill you, Goku."
"Don't forget, I was also created by Dr. Gero. Killing you has always been my primary objective."
Cell let out a sinister chuckle as he made his intentions clear.
