The sun was shining brightly as Goku, with the giant turtle still strapped on his back, dashed through the forest. Bulma trailed behind him on her motorcycle, trying to keep up while muttering to herself about "crazy kids" and "impossible strength." Every so often, she would rev the engine in frustration, sending up a cloud of dust in Goku's direction.
"Hey, Goku!" Bulma shouted. "Do you even know where the sea is?!"
Goku, running with the turtle's legs flopping around, glanced back with his usual cheerful smile. "Nope! But I'm sure we'll find it soon!"
Bulma groaned and nearly facepalmed. "Of course you don't…"
Meanwhile, the turtle looked relaxed, even while bouncing around on Goku's back. "You're a good kid," it said in its slow, deep voice. "I haven't moved this fast in years."
"I like running!" Goku replied with a grin. "It's almost like flying, except with more trees to dodge!"
As they continued on their way, a rumbling sound echoed through the trees. The ground trembled slightly beneath them, causing Bulma to slow down. Goku, as usual, didn't notice.
"Uh, Goku? You feel that?" Bulma asked, eyeing the trees warily.
Just as Goku was about to respond, a massive beast burst out from the woods, towering over them. Its fangs glistened as it snarled, eyes locked on the giant turtle Goku was carrying.
"Well, would you look at that," the beast growled. "Dinner's been delivered right to me!"
The turtle blinked lazily. "Oh dear, this happens more often than you'd think."
Without missing a beat, Goku dropped the turtle on the ground, stretched his arms, and cracked his neck. "You want some of this, huh? Alright then!"
Bulma, now hiding behind a rock, peeked out with wide eyes. "Goku! Be careful! That thing's huge!"
The beast lunged at Goku, jaws wide open. Goku, still smiling, waited until the last possible second before sidestepping effortlessly. With one swift motion, he slammed his fist into the beast's side, sending it flying into a nearby tree with a loud crash.
"Whoops, didn't mean to hit it that hard," Goku said, scratching his head.
Bulma stared in disbelief. "Did you just… punch out a giant beast like it was nothing?!"
Goku shrugged. "He started it."
The turtle, still lying on the ground, gave a slow nod of approval. "You've got quite the punch, kid."
With the beast taken care of, Goku hoisted the turtle back onto his shoulders and continued toward the sea. Bulma, who had finally caught up, grumbled as she sped past on her bike. "You're going to get us all eaten one of these days…"
After some more running (and Bulma's constant complaints about bugs and dirt), the group finally reached the edge of the sea. The sound of waves crashing against the shore greeted them, and the salty sea breeze rustled through their hair.
"There it is! The sea!" Goku shouted, his face lighting up with excitement. He put the turtle down and dashed straight into the water, splashing around like an excited kid—because, well, he was one.
The turtle, meanwhile, sighed in relief. "Thank you both for helping me. I'll go get a reward for your kindness. Just wait here."
Bulma raised an eyebrow. "A reward? What kind of reward can a turtle give, anyway?"
"We'll find out!" Goku said, swimming around in circles. "Maybe it's something cool like food!"
Bulma rolled her eyes. "I doubt it's food. Honestly, I just hope it's not more trouble…"
After a short wait, the turtle returned, but this time he wasn't alone. Riding on his back was an old man with a long white beard, wearing sunglasses and an orange Hawaiian shirt. He carried a wooden staff and looked about as relaxed as a guy on a permanent vacation.
"Hey there!" the old man greeted with a wave. "Name's Master Roshi, and I heard you helped my friend here, so I'm here to give you something special."
Goku, now dripping wet from his swim, ran back onto the shore. "Whoa! That's a cool beard! You're like a grandpa turtle!"
Master Roshi chuckled. "Heh, I've been called many things, but that's a first."
Bulma raised an eyebrow. "Wait, so this old guy's the reward?"
"No, no," Roshi said with a wave of his hand. "I've got something much better. Hold on a sec."
Roshi tapped his staff on the ground, and from behind him, a golden cloud floated down from the sky. It hovered just above the water, shimmering in the sunlight.
"This here is the Flying Nimbus," Roshi said proudly. "It's a special cloud that only good and pure-hearted people can ride."
"Whoa, really?!" Goku's eyes lit up with excitement. "Can I try it?"
Roshi nodded. "Go ahead, kid. Let's see if you've got what it takes."
Without hesitation, Goku leaped into the air and landed squarely on the cloud. To his delight, the Nimbus supported him, and he began zipping around the sky with ease.
"This is awesome!" Goku shouted as he zoomed over the water.
Bulma, watching from below, crossed her arms. "Hmph. I bet I can ride it too. I mean, I'm pretty great!"
Roshi scratched his head. "Uh, sure. Give it a shot."
Bulma confidently hopped onto the cloud… only to fall straight through it, landing face-first in the sand with an unceremonious thud.
"Ow! What gives?!" she sputtered, spitting out sand.
"Well… it only works for people who are pure of heart," Roshi explained, trying (and failing) not to laugh.
Bulma shot him a dirty look. "Are you saying I'm not pure?!"
Roshi raised his hands in defense. "I'm not saying anything! It's the cloud's rules, not mine!"
Still fuming, Bulma dusted herself off while Goku continued to fly loops overhead, laughing with pure joy.
"Hey, Master Roshi! You're the best!" Goku shouted.
"Well, kid, you earned it," Roshi said with a grin. "And as for you, young lady, I've got something for you too." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a shiny orange ball with three stars on it.
Bulma's eyes widened. "Wait a minute! That's a Dragon Ball!"
Roshi scratched his head. "Huh? I just thought it was a neat paperweight. You can have it if you want."
Bulma snatched it up eagerly. "Thanks, old man! This is exactly what I need!"
With the Dragon Ball in hand, Bulma felt like her luck was finally turning around. Goku, on the other hand, was just excited to have a cool new cloud to fly on.
"Thanks again, Master Roshi!" Goku called down as he soared above the ocean.
"No problem, kid," Roshi replied. "Just, uh… try not to fly into any trees!"
Bulma sighed as she watched Goku zoom off into the distance. "This kid is seriously gonna give me a heart attack one day…"
