Chapter 39 — Emperor Team.
Xue Beng along with his friends were the first peoples to come across Ning Chen.
Seeing Ning Chen, Xue Beng decided show his mighty power to his friends and decided insult Ning Chen for fun.
However, Xue Beng didn't exactly expected himself being the one getting embarrassed.
Unlike his friends who have learned their lessons, Xue Beng vows to make Ning Chen leave the academy.
He thought of using the help of his uncle Xue Xing, but decided against this idea immediately.
His uncle was currently away and busy taking care of some problems.
Xue Beng started plotting his own revenge against Ning Chen. However, several days later, Xue Beng stopped this plan and lost his desire for revenge.
It was because of Ning Chen's status, background and strength in the academy were now too great — making it difficult for Xue Beng to make a move against Ning Chen.
Xue Beng instead started to feel impressed by Ning Chen.
Now, every time Xue Beng saw Ning Chen, he would feel awe at his terrifying presence and even his simple black clothes couldn't hide his incredible charisma and handsome might.

Ning Chen soon met with the entire Emperor Team and he was startled to learn that Yu Feng was also one of them.
Amongst the seven members of the Emperor Team, Ning Chen was mostly interested at Yu Feng and a girl called Xie Lingling.
Xie Lingling was a girl who was covered in a silent ambience. She had a graceful figure, long blue hair draped across her shoulders and back like a waterfall, large round eyes the same colour as her hair — revealing not a single feelings.
She was entirely dressed in a long black silk dress — even her face was covered by a layer of black muslin.
However, despite her face being covered and couldn't be seen, Ning Chen heard the voice of destiny as soon his eyes laid upon on her.
He was destined with Xie Lingling! She was gonna be one of the members of the future group he envisioned!
Yu Feng also felt the same, but Ning Chen still wasn't sure about him. His current link with him was vague and foggy.
Ning Chen was excited seeing Xie Lingling, but immediately contained his emotions to not appear weird around them.
The first impression was the best and with his handsome face — there were no doubts that his first impression was good and pleasant.
This was just one of the several benefits of being handsome.
It was just unfortunate that not everyone can be handsome.
Ning Chen then got to know the members of the Emperor Team's name and basic information.
Yu Feng was 12 years old and a rank 31 agility attack system. His spirit was the Wind Chime Bird.
Xie Lingling was also 12 years old and a rank 31 support system. Her spirit was the Nine Heart Flower.
Ning Chen was surprised hearing Xie Lingling's spirit because it was like his clan's Seven Treasure Pagoda, but her spirit was the best healing type spirit.
Her Nine Heart Flower's only function was to heal everyone.

Ning Chen was surprised and didn't expected Yu Tianheng to came from the Blue Lighting Tyrant Dragon Clan — one of the upper clans like the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan.
There were also the twin called Shi Brother's who were both 16 years old and rank 33 defense system. Their spirits were the Black Tortoise.
Osler was 15 years old and a rank 32 agility attack system. His spirit was the Black Leopard.
The last one was Dugu Yan who was 15 years old and a rank 32 control system. Her spirit was the Jade Phosphor Serpent.
After they all introduced themselves, it was only very natural for Ning Chen to also do it.
"I'm Ning Chen and currently 12 years old. My rank is 40 and I'm a power attack system... Ah—wait! I'm actually an all-rounder system!" Ning Chen introduced himself with a smile.
And Ning Chen calling himself an all-rounder system was true although it sounded amazing and weird at the same time.
Ning Chen can basically turn into an attack-power system by using the flame stance.
He can also change into an agility-attack system using wind stance, defense system using earth stance, and control system using ice stance.
The Emperor Team were all shocked hearing Ning Chen's rank despite his young age.
They didn't think he was lying and just thought that Ning Chen's rank alone was high enough to earn him a spot in Emperor Dou Level, but why does he still need a combat test?
Then they remembered that taking the combat test was required regardless of rank.
Yu Feng then explained toward Ning Chen that by defeating any one of them, he will pass the combat test and officially advance to the Emperor Dou Level
Ning Chen pondered deeply on who he was going to fight.
They were all weaker than him, however, it was because he was built different from them.
They were all already considered genius on their own respective areas and surpassed the majority of spirit masters.
Ning Chen looked at them and smiled as his eyes fell upon Xie Lingling.
"I'm very interested on having a 'spar' against you..."
The others were dumbfounded hearing that and even the expressionless Xie Lingling showed some changes.
Why would Ning Chen want to pick a fight with a support system?
"I forgot to tell you about this, but you can't fight against support system," Yu Feng hurriedly said toward Ning Chen.
"I know, I'm just joking," Ning Chen said before inwardly clicking his tongue.
He could've used that time between them to build a connection.
Alas, it was a shame, but there were still time in the future.
Ning Chen sighed and then pointed at Yu Feng.
"I guess, I will fight you Yu Feng," Ning Chen said since he was now quite close with Yu Feng.
"Sure, buddy! I'll fight you with all my best," Yu Feng said energetically and made a fist.
Ning Chen smiled seeing Yu Feng's spirit and said, "That's what I like to see."
The two of them soon went toward the large courtyard of the building. The others on other hand, spectated the match curiously.
And they were all silent after seeing the outcome — Ning Chen forced the flying Yu Feng into submission easily.

I'm thinking of taking a short break since I'm feeling exhausted mentally.
Life kinda sucks recently xd
