If the monsters were small, then it reduced the damage from Slant, but it was better than nothing. He tried a few variations of those skills, able to do fast damage and even then, it sometimes took him minutes to kill the monster. The slashes, cool downs, and necessary movements for evading the attacks.
All of it took time. Killing monsters in few minutes could only be done by the top tier Beta Players. Reading the information on their skills. He wasn't sure that Rias and Akeno would be able to kill them in a few minutes let along Asia. The sword users clearly had the advantage over the others.
From the map drawn across the forest was West Grasslands, along with the Settlement Tolbana. It was the second largest Settlement and West Grassfields had boars, wolves, dire wolves.
The forest had better monsters than the plains, but the plains had far more quests which could easily give about 100 Experience Points. It took about a few days to complete even one of the quests. He thought it was easy, all he had to do was farm monsters until he realised. He was getting less experience. He only needed 220 Points to reach Level 6, but he was getting only 1 Points.
Even assuming he killed 10 of them in an hour, then he would need to kill for a whole day to Level Up. Maybe finding Rare Monsters in between would help him speed up. That was something he could do, but for other players it was worth four or five days of work. And this was only for Level 6.
Once he would reach Level 6, he could only take quests or go to the labyrinth to fight monsters that could jump him and kill him, "Now it's starting to make sense. This game uses resources, and once consumed, they cause others to lag. This is far more cut throat than I thought at first."
He stopped, feeling the sunlight hit him in the face. He slowed down his steps, walking to the plains, only to be greeted by a fresh breeze. He breathed in, smiling, "I have decided. I am going to be a merchant."
He opened the book, "Now, how do I take the Merchant Occupation."
