章 428: 428: The light is gone

Something was building up inside Sui. She could feel her magic surging up to swallow her and everyone else whole.

But even when her condition was so severe, to control all this magic seemed impossible for her. And that made her feel a bit scared.

The goddess was stepping back out of shock and betrayal as she watched Sui. The anger in her eyes made Sui flinch.

All the magic inside and around Sui cringed as well. It refused to rebel against its creator or harm her.

It was like a fierce dog whose fangs had been cut off so that it would not bite its owner.

'But even a defanged dog can bite hard. I need to keep pressing, and I will eventually be able to cut through the hesitation binding me back like this.'

Sui could feel the inside of her body heating up. The magic was trying to push her back, but she was stubborn and held her ground.

Even if it hurt or it made her bleed, Sui refused to back down.
