As soon as she sunk to her knees, Qui Ai who has been looking at her also turned around and followed Nanny Gong's greeting but she too was feeling confused when she saw the Grand Dowager Empress. 

The emperor would visit the Empress's palace once in a while and it was a normal occurrence for them, his presence was not that shocking but the grand Dowager Empress arriving here out of nowhere and for no reason scared them so much that they started shivering.
