Eiro stood up from his seat, trying to suppress the sound of his bones popping and cracking under his own weight. He snapped his finger and a flash of light appeared behind his back, throwing a strong shadow on the ground in front of him. That shadow soon detached from Eiro, as Mislan appeared in front of him.

After a bow to the demon, Mislan began to explain, "According to my Master's wishes, I am going to stay in this town for the time being. While I am not able to stay away for an extended period of time, due to my nature as my Master's shadow, for the next week I will stay here and assist the people of the human village into understanding the optimal direction for their growth."
