Chelsea groaned as her eyes slowly blinked open. She tried to sit up, but a large piece of rubble was keeping her from doing so. It must have easily weighted over three hundred pounds by the looks of it.
Chelsea manage to wiggle her arms so she could press her hands to the cold stone. She grunted a bit, but still easily moved the rubble aside and shackily got to her feet. She swayed from side to side as pain suddenly shot up in her ribs.
She looked down her hands shackily hovering over a small piece of wood sticking out of her side. Her blood slowly staining her robes. She took in a deep painful breath, she's been trained for this, she didn't have any sort of healing equipment or supply so taking out the foreign object is only going to help her die faster. That's what the nice faune mister Grover had told her.
Chelsea looked around, the desolated room was empty. She slowly pulled off her robe and teared off a very large chunk of it.
She slowly wrapped it around her stomach and over the wound. She pressed her hand to the injury and took out her wand with the other. She started walking towards the hole. Three Slytherin and Filch appeared, being Umbridge's main supporters and even enforcers Chelsea didn't hesitate.
She shot a confringo spell grunting in pain with every wave of her wand, but she missed instead her spell landed in a still intact part of the wall. Taking off a decent chunk of it.
She ducked behind a still intact pillar. Considering her next move as stupefication spells slammed into the woods. Along with what she assumed were rocks since Filch probably couldn't do much. She might have felt sympathy for the squib if he wasn't such a petty bastard.
"Periculum!" She grunted blindly pointing her wands in her ennemies general direction. Conjuring a bright red flare that shot off like a rocket.
Her ennemies temporarily blinded she jumped out of her hiding spot and swiftly petrified all four of them.
Chelsea grunted as she walked over the rubbles. Wishing she actually learned at least one healing spell. She paused in front of a Slytherin whom aparently wasn't petrified enought to keep his mouth shut. Remembering how they basically kissed Umbridge's ass in order to gain power and give everyone else hell reminded her how most of their parents acted in society. Sucking Up to the nearest powerful person so there's no consequences to their actions.
The kick she landed in his stomach would have to serve as a lesson for now.
She limped towards the class, the halls empty. Umbridge was most likely interrogating the rest of the D.A and assumed her dead as some sort of collateral damage, but she was made from tougher stuff than a regular wizard.
She was half god, it wasn't a small gut wound that was going to stop her from saving her foolish kind from extinction.
She found the right door and leaned against the wall next to it. Breathing heavily she attempted to move, but she couldn't move. Too much pain gained and too much blood lost.
She slopilly tried to hold the doorknob and turn it, but all she managed to do was weakly slap it. Leaving blood stains on the silver metal.
"Over here!" Angrily schreeched the annoying voice of Dolores Umbridge. Spurred on by fear and a little bit of anger Chelsea gripped the doorknob with the rest of her strenght and threw the door open.
She slammed it close, knowing full well that the blood stains were a dead giveaway of where she was. If Umbridge didn't know what her intention were that is.
She stuck a chair under the doorknob and limped towards the transparent cage. Charlie's eyes widdened at the sight. Chelsea stumbled over the box. She pressed her hand to it, leaving a bloody handprint. Her eyes briefly flickered Blue and she fell to the ground.
The chains collar straight jacket and muzzle magically fell off. The top of the box swinging open like a trap door.
The last thing Chelsea saw before passing out was a hand reaching down towards her.
Then only darkness.
Then she gasped awake, sitting up to a small campfire. She looked around wildly at the forest surrounding her.
"Took you long enough to wake up." Chelsea yelped and quickly turned her head towards the voice.
Charles Theseus Jackson stood next to her, a small pile of logs in his hands. He walked past her and carefully placed them in the fire. Chelsea wasn't sure if she was hallucinating or not after her near death experience, but his hands touched the fire and he wasn't bothered in the slightest.
A subtle show of power she could expect from each member of his family. "You're from the Legion" he stated "and you do look sorta familiar, what's you're name and why are you here?"
Chelsea gulped "i'm a witch and a demigoddess, but I only found out about the latter last year. I'm sorry I didn't free you sooner, I was scared. My name is Chelsea you kicked me in the face in the war games."
Realisation crossed his face. "Ah yeah I remember you, I kick a lot of people in the face, but you kinda threw a tantrum afterward didn't you?"
Chelsea winced, that wasn't her proudest moment. "Yes that's me." She sighed poking her side. She lifted her shirt just enough to see the pale thin scar in the place of her wound.
Charlie hummed "well good to know you wizards and witches aren't all dickheads."
Chelsea ignored the insult, if anyone deserved to do so it was him. "How-"
"Did I heal you? Do you really need an answer to a question you already have the answer too?"
"So you do know magic." Chelsea stated.
Charlie shrugged "aparently my mother had potential in it too, she just never exploited it. Me on the other hand I didn't hesitate. Especially since the one offering me teachings wasn't an evil bitch like Circe."
"You mean witch."
"I know what I said, old bitch is butthurt I got to learn magic instead of my mother, not because of good reasons obviously. Because i'm a boy, if my mom didn't want anything to do with sorcery that's her Choice not mine!" He ranted a little, Chelsea nodding along.
He plopped down next to her and picked up a branch. "Anyway what are you going to do now?" He asked her as he played with the logs with the branch.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean are you going to go back there." He pointed at the castle with the smocking branch. Chelsea looked in the direction he pointed and was shocked to see Hogwarts in the distance.
She expected them to be much further than that. "We're
in the forbidden forest!" Loudly realised the witch. Charlie shrugged "if it's forbidden because of the monsters than you wizards have got to be whimps. I mean I practically grew up in Camp Half-blood and believe me this place doesn't hold a candle to the woods back home. Or even the practical jokes we play on each other.
He chuckled making Chelsea wonder what looked like real danger to him. "Why would I go back?" She asked instead "well I assume you freed me because you fear a war is going to break out right?"
Chelsea nodded wondering where he was going.
"Well sorry to tell you, but it's already happened. My familly had enough and basically toppled the American congress of magic. All we can do now is limit the damage. And before you ask, even if I did go back it wouldn't mean much, given that i'm not the only demigod who's been taken. That toad lady probably thought I couldn't understand her when she ranted about all that stuff. The moment these kids get shipped here i'll free them and keep them safe. And mess with this poor excuse of an establishment in the meantime." He smirked making Chelsea very worried for the poor soul who would be his first victim.
"How did they even take you?" Chelsea finally asked the question plaguing her mind for days now.
"Well I didn't wear any sort of magical protection or spells for one, I expected a casual day, but that got ruined. I didn't bother using my own magic and those spells were surprisingly potent, and mixed with their numbers it was enough to temporarily overwhelm me, but that didn't actually last long. When I woke up I escaped and kicked their asses some more, but then I realised how I could use this to my advantage."
It took a second for Chelsea to realise the implications of that statement. "You could have escaped at any time!" She exclaimed, angrily throwing her arms up.
"Yeah, half of my reactions were actually illusions. I'm honestly surprised that no one figured that out." He said genuinely sounding confused.
"Wait" Chelsea began temporarily forgeting her anger. "What spells did they use on you?"
Charlie rubbed his chin "if I remember correctly it was Imperio and Crucio. Which both translate to a meaning of control and sovreignty to I torture. So yeah that actually caught me off guard."
"And it took a dozen to temporarily disable you?" Chelsea demanded wide eyed.
Charlie shrugged with a smug smile "I do have the best genes in our pantheon.
"That no one can deny." She huffed "i'm not sure I want to go back. I told some friends that I was a demigoddess and the first thing I was asked was when my mating season was."
Charlie stared at her for a bit. "I don't know if I should be laughing my ass off or kicking someone else's ass."
"Please don't kill anyone, except Umbridge you can kill her."
Charlie chuckled "i'll take you up on that offer. Now maybe you should go back and the school there's a huge chance a small army of monsters or a god pulls up."
"W-what! Why!" Chelsea demanded worried out of her mind.
"Well I might have sassed and humiliated a few gods and Goddesses, at this point it's a family tradition. Hopefully my family is going to find me before them."
Chelsea rose to her feet "are you sure you don't want to hide in the school?"
Charlie smirked "don't worry i'm not going to hide." He stated much to her nervousness.
The daughter of Libertas walked back to Hogwarts, determined to make sure the castle wouldn't fall.
Harry was worried sick, the last he saw from Chelsea before getting dragged off was her getting buried under rubbles.
He wanted to go find her, but Umbridge's lackeys were holding up at wand point like the rest of the D.A inside of Umbridge's office. Draco Malfoy wore the same contemptuous look bas his father as he looked at him.
"Chelsea could die Malfoy! You really want that on you're conscience?!"
Malfoy merely rolled his eyes believing it to be a ploy in order to escape.
"If she were actually there Potter I think I would have seen her." He snarked, Ron scoffed "you couldn't see a bat hanging from you're nose Malfoy, but I guess we can't blame you. That massive ego has to be hard to carry around. So normally a git like you can't see the obvious."
Malfoy angrily pointed his s Wand at Ron.
"Can you believe this George? Our baby brother actually has guts to talk to an idiot like that in such a situation?"
"Yeah Fred, if he could use these when it comes to mum I might actually be proud of him." Agreed Fred, Malfoy pointed his wand at the twins. Demanding to know which one of them mocked him. The two Weasley shared an unimpressed look and in one voice deadpanned. "Yes."
He growled and went to Hex them both, but someone tapped his shoulder.
He spun around angrily only to be punched accross the face so hard he spun around twice before meeting the ground.
"Anyone else!?" Chelsea scowled raising her wand. Harry wasn't sure what was wrong with her eyes, but the way she glared at the Slytherin made him happy she wasn't looking at him.
The students scampered away, Crabble and Goyle picking up Malfoy on the way out. Chelsea broke the charm holding her friend's together.
"Hi."
"Hi!?" Hermione repeated incredulously "you get blown off by an explosion spell and kidnapped by that other demigod and all you have to say is hi!"
The daughter of Libertas turned her glare on Hermione. Surprisingly she was silenced by it.
"Charlie saved my life." She snapped "right now we need to lay low, there's something way worse about to happen" she grumbled.
"What could possibly be worst?" Complained Harry on edge.
Chelsea bit her lip "we'll find out at dinner, don't worry about Umbridge for now, she's got bigger things to deal with."
"Like what!" Impatiently demanded Hermione. The bell rang momentarily stopping their conversation.
"Just act like nothing happened." Advised Chelsea Walking away.
The golden trio shared weird looks.
Around the mess hall everyone was silently eating. Even Malfoy who sported a black eye. The students dreaded the next announcement of Umbridge. Who had dropped her fake nice expression.
She looked uncharacteristicaly hesitant and didn't bother hiding the anger on her face. Or the glare she sent every last member of the D.A.
Chelsea only smiled on response, but it quickly morphed into a worried frown as Cornelius Fudge himself trudged next to Umbridge.
"Attention students of Hogwarts" he began tensly. Every students now had their eyes on him.
"In eyes of an unjustified attack upon the United States Congress of magic along with multiple establishment of the Ministry, the Ministry and the rest of the Congress has decided to enter war with the demigod kind. Britain is in high alert, every first year to fourth year students are to remain inside Hogwarts ground in the short time this crisis will last."
He hesitated to carry on.
"If needed, which it won't be mind you. Students above fourth year will be conscripted in the war effort, but this is just official courtesy. If demigods cannot comform to civilised ideals, then they will learn the hard way. Many shadows have loomed over us and passed. Today is no different. The Wizarding world will rise against these odds and win, like it always had. With this said I leave a squad of Aurors here with you, only in the posibility that the secrecy of Hogwarts location becomes compromised. No worries children's, this will be over under a week."
Confidently smiled the minister before leaving the mess hall. Which promptly erupted into chaos the moment he was out of view.
Panic rose around the great room like a tidal wave. Hermione threw a fiery look at a very calm looking Chelsea. "Why is you're kind starting a war!" She demanded trying to keep a volume down.
Chelsea looked at Hermione and replied like it was obvious.
"To win it of course."
