Tomoka made up her mind. Tonight Danzo would die and there would be nothing in the world that could save the bastard. Giving a mental Command she started an operation long on the making. As a matter of fact she could have started the operation a whole month ago, however her fears didn't allow that. Now there was no fear, only DETERMINATION.
(T-12:00:00)
Tomoka took a deep breath and smiled. She was currently following her girlfriends to a restaurant. They wanted to celebrate her safe return to the village. In reality they just wanted to spend time with Tomoka and she knew that, not that she minded anyway.
"So where are we going? Ichiraku? Or maybe that all you can eat place that opened near the Akimichi clan."
"Nuh, We are going to the new restaurant that opened and has some strange foods! I want to try it out." Hinata was lively for sure. Tomoka couldn't help but smile towards the energetic Hyuga.
"Wait a minute, a new place opened while I was gone? What is it called?" For some reason Tomoka felt like she knew the name already.
"It's called Akomot's fast foods!" This time Nozomi answered with a bright smile. She had already gone to place and to say she was satisfied would be an absolute understatement.
"Pfft, ahahaha!" Tomoka for her part couldn't contain her laughter.
""What is so funny?""
Seeing the confused faces of her girlfriends, Tomoka laughed even harder. How could they not notice? They are supposed to be ninjas, the japanese equivalent of super spies like james bond and such, but cooler.
"Oh god, I'm dying. I can't believe you two didn't notice." Tomoka was having a hard time speaking as she wiped away the tears.
"Notice what? You aren't making sense" Hinata for her part felt aggrieved. She felt like Tomoka was making fun of them which she probably was.
"What's my name?" Tomoka decided to help them a bit.
""Tomoka"" Both answered instantly
"What's the place's name?"
"Akomot's fast foods?" Nozomi answered feeling like she was overlooking something, something important, so she decided to put her mind to it.
'Why would Tomoka ask us for her name and then for the place's name? Doing this would imply there is a connection between them. Lets try for something simple, the letters, Both have two Os an M a K an A and a T… wait a moment… Akomot, Tomoka, Akomot, Tomoka… That little.'
The thought process of the two girls had been almost identical and so the two came to the same conclusion at the same time.
""Akomot is Tomoka spelt backwards!"" Hearing that Tomoka couldn't help but have another fit of laughter. Meanwhile her girlfriends felt like fools, to think they didn't notice until now.
"So, does that mean that you own the place?" Hinata asked curiously, how could she not? Akomot's has become a big hit in the village for its strange yet delicious food.
"Yup. Akomot is the name I use for some of my business using a transformed puppet. Now let's go eat!" Tomoka felt excited as she would finally be able to eat pizza. She had handed the recipes she could remember, or at least the description of the end product, to her employees. Now she couldn't wait to see what they have come up with.
Meanwhile, elsewhere within Konoha.
"Alright girls! The main has given the green light!" A cyan haired girl with tribal looking tattoos said while biting on a grass stalk. Her attire didn't fit with the world she currently is as it looked reminiscent of mothern soldier's gear. This of course was one of Tomoka's phantoms.
"Finally! I thought we would never get to do this!" Another phantom said. They had been on hold for a long time, to the point some thought the main had forgotten about them.
"Alright, calm down you rowdy bunch. You know the drill, we have been going through the plans for the last month so I want no mistakes." The leader spoke calmly as her gaze fell on her squad.
"Let operation Jugement hall begin!"
(T- 06:00:00)
"Here Hawk-1 we have the target on sight over"
"Copy that Hawk-1, Terminator-1 will start sub-operation, take over in 5. Keep us updated on the target's whereabouts over"
"Roger and out"
Everything was going according to plan until now. Danzo's location had been found and so he was being watched as of now, his current location being Konoha's administrative building. Team Hawk's duty was to observe Danzo and inform the other teams, if necessary they were also in charge of distracting the target should the other teams need the time.
"Alright gals, you know how this should go. We want to give a good show so no mistakes. Possess as many as possible, create new phantoms if necessary. Eliminate anyone not under possession with extreme prejudice. Let the show begin, MOVE!"
With that, the terminator group got to move. Danzo's root HQ had been found a while back and to say it is well protected would be an understatement. Unfortunately for the bandaged fuck Tomoka had cheats that could render most if not all of his defenses useless.
Phantoms, concentrated masses of chakra with no physical body of their own. Thanks to this they would not trigger any seal targeting physical beings. As for those that detected chakra and what not, well, a simple glance from the kinagan would reveal them. Concentrate a few phantoms using it on the same seal and it would run out of power and stop working.
To say the infiltration into Danzo's base was easy for the phantoms would be an understatement. For starters, all seals were useless. All physical traps were useless as well. Finally even Danzo's meat puppets were useless. After all, how could a puppet without a will win a battle of wills against Tomoka's phantoms?
(T- 03:00:00)
Tomoka couldn't help but smile as the reports from the terminator team flowed into her mind. Danzo's base had fallen under her absolute control. Now it was only a mater of time until the fucker would enter his tomb willingly. However, before all that she had a few things to do herself.
"Girls we need to talk" Tomoka looked at the two girls happily cuddling to her left and right. After their lunch the group spent some time chatting, playing games and flirting all culminating in the current situation.
"About what" Nozomi's lazy and content expresion changed to a serious one. She could tell that whatever Tomoka wanted to say would be a serious topic.
"About the disposal of a rat!" Tomoka answered had a mix of playfulness and seriousness.
"A rat?" Hinata couldn't help but ask. Knowing Tomoka there was a fifty-fifty chance this rat was a literal one or a person.
"Yes, a rat by the name of Danzo Shimura. Village elder Danzo shimura, leader of the currently illegal militaristic-body called Root. Instigator of the hatred towards the Uchiha clan in recent years. Cause of the Uchiha massacre as well as the third shinobi war. I could go all day recounting all the horrible things this man has done to date."
Hearing Tomoka's words the two girls felt a mixture of anger and surprise, especially Nozomi. In the past Tomoka had mentioned that Danzo had been the cause of the massacre. However, without knowing the full name how could she know which Danzo it was. After all, Danzo Shimura wasn't the only Danzo in the world.
"Are you telling me the massacre was caused by A VILLAGE ELDER!" Nozomi's anger was at an all time high. She had convinced herself that the Danzo responsible had been an enemy of Konoha or something along those lines. Now knowing that in truth Danzo was a village elder made her boil with hatred.
"Yes, that man is a menace. He might not be the most powerful ninja out there but he is a very cunning one. His plots and ambitions have cause a lot of suffering in the world. I don't care for any of that really. However, he made a big mistake. He tried to harm what belongs to me." Saying that Tomoka looked towards Nozomi with a glint of greed and madness in her eyes.
Seeing Tomoka's expresion and sharp eyes, both girls couldn't help but shudder. Every time Tomoka looked towards them like that they couldn't help but feel happy. After all, they had long accepted the fact they are Tomoka's as much as she is theirs.
(T-01:00:00)
At a hidden entrance to root HQ
"I want to be the one to kill him, Tomoka." Nozomi stared at Tomoka with intensity rarely seen in a kid her age. She had heard Tomoka's plan and memorized it, in reality she was here only to witness the fall of the man that killed her clan as she wouldn't be doing much. Thankfully Tomoka had taken her feelings into consideration and offered to let her land the killing blow.
"I know, and you will.'' Tomoka said in a calm tone as she strolled through the passages of Danzo's hidden base. As she did she couldn't help but review the memories of her phantom's infiltration into the place. In a way it had been way too easy and hard at the same time.
The place had been full of all kinds of traps and even had a self destruction mechanism. Thankfully Danzo shot himself on the foot by having his men be without wills of their own. Those flesh puppets made the infiltration easier actually as their chakra signatures were recognized by the many fuinjutsu traps. Like that Tomoka's phantoms just had to possess them and walk around as if they owned the place.
As of right now the Hawk team has reported that Danzo is still inside Konoha's administrative building attending a meeting with the Hokage and other clan elders. Who would have thought that infiltrating such places would be as easy as possessing a rat and having it sneak inside the place?
Truly the Phantom clone jutsu is a ridiculous jutsu capable of doing many things others consider impossible. Take what is happening right now into consideration, the phantoms can possess others and take control of their bodies, does it sound familiar? That's right, the Yamanak's clan's jutsu can do something similar. Then shouldn't they be able to pull the same stunt? The answer is no.
Unfortunately for the Yamanaka clan their jutsu can be easily detected by a good sensor-nin. The reason behind this is that the Yamanak clan's jutsu could be considered a genjutsu. Because of this a sensor-nin could detect the anomaly in chakra flow and warn others. Tomoka's phantom's possession works in a far more insidious way.
Tomoka's phantom's possess their targets by infecting their chakra network. Like a virus they spread their chakra into the target's taking control of their chakra flow. What follows is the rather horrible experience of having your body's control taken from you while you are still conscious.
Using the target's infected chakra the phantoms take control of the target's nervous system. This allows the phantom to control the body and even mind of their targets. Implanting ideas into the target's mind? A few electric signals here. Erase some memories? Delete some electric signals there. In the end the target will do whatever the phantom wants them to and they will believe that it was their idea.
Unfortunately, ninjas have strong minds and chakra. This makes taking absolute control of them as described before difficult to the extreme, specially so for the stronger ninjas. Fortunately for Tomoka and her phantoms Danzo's meat puppets have little to no resistance to this kind of possession due to their broken wills.
Somewhere inside the HQ
"Look at me, I'm a real boy!" A root ninja said, patting his body.
"Shut it 73 we are on a mission right now." Another ninja said with some annoyance.
"You are no fun 68, relax the infiltration job is finished anyway." Said 73 with a shrug while playing with a kunai.
"That
doesn't mean we can goof around and risk the mission." 68 couldn't help but glare at 73 with a frown. He couldn't understand why some of them would choose such troublesome personalities.
"Bah, as if anything would go wrong…" As 73 said that he failed to catch the kunai he was playing with only for it to fall on his foot making a nasty cut on it. Seeing this 68 couldn't help but facepalm, this idiot would be the death of him.
"Huh, so that's how it feels to bleed." 73 crouched and began poking the wound with interest while 68 gave up on life and banged his head against the nearest wall.
(T-00:01:00)
Tomoka and Nozomi sat in a dark corner of the main room where Danzo kept his little throne in the shape of the Hokage's chair. The two watched as Tomoka's phantoms played mind games with the old man. Then once the words Tomoka was waiting for were said she began to move.
"Omae wa mou shindeiru."
(T-00:00:00)
Tomoka walked out of the shadows in the corner as she looked at Danzo's terrified face. However, once he saw her he relaxed visibly. Tomoka couldn't help but laugh internally as she saw the gears in the old man's head spinning. For sure he had underestimated her at this point.
"Tomoka Fushi. I don't know how you found this place or who helped you but it does not matter. To think I was worried for a moment" As Danzo said that he recalled the information he had on her. She is a skilled kid with a lot of potential, unfortunately for her potential isn't the same as power.
"No one helped me but that is besides the point. I am here to judge you Danzo Shimura and I have decided you deserve death. Let's get this party going." Hearing this Danzo felt anger.
"Who do you think you are to judge me? Everything I have done I have done for the benefit of Konoha." Tomoka didn't bother to give him a proper answer and just shrugged. She was determined to continue with her theatrics.
"It's a beautiful day outside." Tomoka's words caught Danzo by surprise as he didn't understand what she was trying to get at.
"Birds are singing."
"Flowers are blooming." With every word Tomoka spoke Danzo felt like a noose was slowly tightening around his neck. He wanted to attack but his instincts were screaming at him not to do so.
"On days like this."
"Bastards like you." At this point Danzo had cold sweat flowing down his back as he prepared to activate his Izanagi any second now.
"SHOULD BE BURNING IN HELL!"
As Tomoka finished her little show the room turned dark for a single second before it lit up once again by the hundred eyes staring at Danzo. What followed was a veritable flood of attacks in his direction.
Each and every single root agent that had been possessed appeared from dark corners and passages and began their assault on their former leader. Jutsus of all types flew around doing more damage to the many root members than Danzo. This continued for a few minutes before all of them had died at the hands of either Danzo or their own compatriots.
"Was that your plan? What a waste of time" Danzo smiled with contempt. However, to his horror he saw how the many dead ninja began moving again as if brought from the dead.
"Time for round two" By this point Tomoka hadn't taken a single step and simply watched as Danzo struggled with the many possessed corpses. A veritable flood of ninja zombies controlled by her phantoms.
Tomoka made sure to keep Danzo on his toes but didn't want to force him to use the Izanagi just yet. She wouldn't want to waste the chance to kill him over and over again like that.
A couple of minutes later body parts were strewn everywhere. The corpses as of now were so damaged that trying to use them was simply inefficient at this point. However, they accomplish their purpose. Danzo was both tired and scared shitless.
"Bravo, you managed to get through the fodder, how about we start with the main course." Tomoka said while clapping slowly adding to her sarcasm.
"Let the fun begin!" Tomoka moved forward with enough speed to punch through the sound barrier. She could have gone faster but she didn't want Danzo to die before activating his Izanagi arm.
In an instant Danzo was punched in the chest fracturing his sternum as well as a bunch of ribs. The impact was so great it caused his heart to stop and his spine to crack. As his corpse hit the back wall it became transparent before disappearing.
With an unhinged grin on her face Tomoka dodged out of the wind blade that covered Danzo's arm. If she hadn't moved it would have pierced her heart.
"So it really works! I get to kill you multiple times!" A maniac cackle escaped Tomoka as she made her glee at the current situation more than apparent. Without wasting another second she moved forward like a bullet punching the life out of Danzo once more.
After killing Danzo a few times using only Taijutsu, Tomoka decided to change things up a little. Moving her hands at the speeds that made them look like a blur Tomoka prepared to unleash all her might.
"Lightning style: Railgun!"
What followed was something neither Danzo nor Nozomi, who was watching the show, could understand. In a moment Tomoka took a kunai and threw it slightly upwards. Then she stretched her arms to the sides as they crackled with blue lightning. As soon as the kunai fell to the height of her chest, Tomoka moved her arms forward.
A bright flash of light and a loud explosion followed Tomoka's actions. Danzo for his part felt pain as he realized his chest is now adorned with a fist sized hole where his heart is supposed to be. Behind him the stone wall had a similar hole.
Moments later Danzo disappeared once more. However, unlike the other times he didn't attack Tomoka right away. Instead he opted for using the opportunity to summon Baku who started his inhaling attack as soon as he appeared.
Following that Danzo used the wind bullets to attack the seemingly immobilized Tomoka. However, to his surprise a strange spider-like appendages appeared from her back, easily protected her from danzo's jutsu and anchored her to the ground.
"Oh? Are we playing with summons now? Then I guess it's my turn." Biting her finger, Tomoka did the hand seals and slammed her palm on the ground. Following her actions a massive cloud of white smoke appeared. From it a gigantic spider appeared that could barely fit inside the room.
"Tomoka-sama? Why did you call me?" Kumoki had been relaxing in her cave while eating some prey. She needed the energy to heal her wound. Thanks to Tomoka she was finally rid of that nasty poison.
"Oh nothing much. I'm bullying this old man and he summoned that elephant thing over there and thought: Hey Kumoki probably needs some food to heal her wounds so I brought you here." Tomoka's nonchalant comments made Danzo even angrier than before.
"I see, then don't mind if I do." With that said Kumoki rushed towards Baku using her bulk to slam the poor creature against the wall, then through it and several more. Danzo, seeing what would happen, decided to jump off his summon to save himself.
"Shall we continue?" Tomoka asked rhetorically as she shot like a bullet towards Danzo once more. At this point the old man was at the end of his patience. He felt insulted and humiliated, to think a brat was smacking him around like a powerless civilian. Him! Danzo Shimura! Hero of the second ninja war!
"I didn't want to use this on a twerp like you but I guess I could still get some benefit from it." Said a bleeding and broken Danzo as he disappeared once more only to appear with his right eye uncovered showing Shisui's mangekyo sharingan.
It took but an instant for Tomoka's speed force accelerated mind to understand what she was seeing, and at that moment she knew, she, fucked, up. It's said that arrogance and hubris is the poison of the powerful. Oh how the great have fallen. To think that she wouldn't take into account Danzo's most powerful weapon.
Why hadn't she made counter measures for such a powerful eye? Why hadn't she entertained the idea of Danzo using the eye on her? It all boils down to arrogance and hubris. Tomoka believed herself to be too powerful to fall under it. She believed that she could kill Danzo before he uncovered the eye. That wasn't the case and now she was paying for it.
Inside Tomoka's mindscape a massive mangekyo sharingan covered the sky. Infinitely far yet infinitely big. Its red light assaulting Tomoka's mind with relentless fervor. Her entire mindscape quaked as the red glow attempted to reach her library, her books, her memories.
"¡AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" The head splitting headache Tomoka felt reduced her to a screaming mess as her phantoms broke like glass. However, she wouldn't go down so easily. She had suffered far worse even if she couldn't remember how or when.
"Kurama!" That was all she needed to say for the fox to open the floodgates of his chakra. Normally he would allow Tomoka to use only five tails, six if she asked nicely for it. Now he couldn't hold back or Tomoka would suffer a fate worse than death.
Now with an overabundance of chakra Tomoka recalled all external clones as well to increase the amount even more. Then she did the only thing that might help in the situation. She began creating phantoms, tens, hundreds, thousands of them. Every single one of them with a single purpose, shielding her mind.
They phantoms broke and reformed as they used Tomoka's unyielding will to create a mind shield. A crud protection but the best they could do as of now. The shield would stand strong for as long as Tomoka's will did so. However, under the relentless attack of the kotoamatsukami even her will wouldn't hold.
In the real world barely half a second had gone by while inside Tomoka's mind a full thirty torturous minutes had passed. She was starting to lose her grip while her and Kurama's chakra started to dip. She wouldn't be able to hold for much longer. At most an hour, maybe two with some luck but not much more.
The cracks riddling the library and the world within her mind were a strong testimony of the struggle. Yet no one realized that there was a part of Tomoka's mind that was unshielded and had been receiving the brunt of the attack. High in the skys of the mindscape a bright orb of fire that shun in the guise of a sun began to crack.
A moment, that is all it takes. A single moment where a mistake could take place. Tomoka had made a grave mistake by underestimating Danzo. While Danzo had made a mistake by attacking Tomka's mind in such a brutal and all encompassing way.
The sun cracked and broke and from it a nightmare was given form. Black wispy memories of a torturous eternity flew around the mindscape drowning the red light of the kotoamatsukami. Memories of an eternity, infinity, and nihility. The black wisps sought to take their rightful place within Tomoka's mind.
Black books with words written in blood sought to take their place within the library. Their contents are a garbled mess of words attempting to describe the pain, madness and despair caused by an indescribable experience. Hundreds, thousands, millions of cursed books bringing memories of nothing more than a soul rending pain.
"¡AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Tomoka screamed anew with bloody tears falling from her eyes. Her sanity and ego slowly but surely being eroded by the insanity brought from such cursed memories. At this point where her whole being was about to be destroyed there was only one thing she could do. One last ditch effort to save herself from the torture within her own mind.
"ODITOMNIA!" And the world would know hate.
The name had been called, the gates opened and the chains undone. In the darkest depths something woke up. It's called to bring all its wrath upon the world. It had been content to lay and rest, never to be awoken again. However, the world wouldn't let it. Hate, it hates, that is all it does, that is all it can do, and that is all it can ever do, hate.
Kurama witnessed as the world died around him. The clear water of the lake turned once more into a pitch black pit of bubbling hate. The lush green grass turned into cinders and ash as the ground blackened and died. Black clouds screamed their wrath in the form of ear splitting thunder. While the trees become petrified losing their leaves.
Ash fell like gray snow all around. While the roaring screams of an endless fire tried to burn down the dead forest. It looked like hell and hell needed its residents. Kurama had lived with Tomoka for twelve years now, yet seeing this now he felt like he never truly knew her.
All around he saw corpses. Corpses of the same woman killed in every possible way imaginable and then some more. Some hung by their necks swinging softly to a nonexistent wind. Others were impaled in through their bottoms. Some more had been tied to the trees, sharp wires cutting into their flesh as the bled rivers of dark blood. There were others floating gently within bubbles of murky water, their bodies bloated as if they had been there for far too long.
Corpses of the same woman lay mutilated, some skinned, others headless. Piles and piles of corpses. Made hills and mountains of rotten flesh. All of them looked the same, a woman in her late thirties, tall with brown hair. A pair of round glasses adorned her freckled face making her brown eyes look slightly bigger than they really are. A white lab coat with a simple blue shirt and black pants was all she wore.
Kurama wanted to close his eyes, He wanted to unsee the horror before him. He had killed many humans before, but this was far beyond that. Every single corpsed looked like a display made by a madman who hated the woman to no end. Who could do something as horrible as this? That is when Kurama's thoughts diverged to someone that could.
He remembered when he had asked Tomoka about her past life. He remembered how she talked about her previous self as if that had been someone else. He remembered the apathy she showed but above all, the barely contained hate. Back then he thought that she had been reminded of someone she had hated. He was both horribly wrong and right.
"She hates herself" Kurama couldn't help but mutter in disbelief. As he did every single corpse moved in unison to stare at him. Thousands or even millions of pairs of dead eyes turned towards him. They were expressionless, emotionless and yet he could feel as if his very soul was being judged. It felt as if he had learned of a forbidden secret, one not even the girl it belongs to should know.
"ROOOOAAAAAAAR!" The world shook and it broke. The ground became riddled with cracks from which boiling red rivers of blood flowed. A call a curse the beginning of what should not be. Every single corpse heard it and they would oblige. They moved their dead eyes to the lake with perfect synchronization.
An army, a flood of the dead moved towards the lake, each corpse feeding it with their rotten flesh. The black waters grew and overflowed, taking even more corpses with it. Once a flood of corpses, it became a flood of pitch black rot. It grew and moved as if alive, it moved with purpose.
Kurama could only watch horrified as the flood swallowed the library, then the tower in which that weird portal rested. Then he saw it move towards him. He was big, there is no doubt about it, Kurama is at the very least a hundred meters from head to tails. However, this flood made him seem tiny in comparison. He could do nothing but gaze into it as it became bigger and bigger while approaching him.
At some point all Kurama could see in front of him was the pitch black of the flood and as he did a thought invaded his head. Like an insidious parasite it settled there, refusing to leave. With each agonizing moment it grew in strength until his body acted before he could even comprehend what he was doing, or rather saying.
"The abyss," And with yellow reptilian eyes, it gazed back at him.
Danzo saw how the girl's eyes turned into the same sharingan he possessed for a moment symbolizing his success. Admittedly he didn't want to use the kotoamatsukami on the girl. Even though yes, she is powerful and would become a great asset, he felt Shisui's eye could have been used in someone more important.
'No matter. What is done is done. Now I will need to change some of my plans but it should still work.' What Danzo didn't expect was for the girl's eyes to turn a sickly yellow reminiscent of puss. Nor did he expect for a foul black thick goopy chakra to pour out of every pore in her body.
"raaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" The girl screamed as Danzo saw in horror how she turned into a monstrosity he had never seen before. The black chakra covered her body as it twisted and turned. From it cracked bones began to emerge here and there before sinking back into the goopy mess. However, in a single moment all the movement seemed to stop as those slitted pupils looked into his own.
Fear, that is all Danzo could feel at the moment. Those eyes held such anger, such rage, such hatred that even he, a war veteran, felt like a child confronting a jounin. Then in a split second the messed up mass of something moved with incredible speed. The next thing Danzo felt was pain.
Danzo couldn't comprehend what had just happened as he tried to assess his situation. Looking around for answers Danzo realized he had been embedded into the wall, no wonder he felt as if his back hurt so much. The next thing he saw made him tremble in horror. The creature was a few meters away from him.
The monster looked like a messed up lizard if he were to even try to compare it to anything. Its head looked as if its flesh had roten and fallen revealing a cracked white skull. From the cracks thick globs of black blood flowed out. The substance is obviously corrosive as he saw the few drops that had fallen to the ground eating through it with ease. The body looked even more messed up, with bits of rotten flesh missing showing the bones below.
Despite the creature's seemingly hurt state Danzo wasn't fooled. Whatever this thing was, it was meant to look like this. The worst part of it all was how it was currently eating Danzo's arm. Its jagged yellowish teeth easily ripping apart the genetically engineered arm that used Hashirama's cells. The attack had been so abrupt and Danzo had been so horrorified that he had forgotten to reactivate Izanagi. Now he could only stare as the creature finished its meal.
Once the monstrosity was done with Danzo's arm it turned towards the old man still embedded in the wall. Danzo for his part was still paralized in horror, his instincts were telling him to flee and yet they also told him that all hope was lost. He could do nothing more than stare as the creature locked eyes with him.
A moment that felt like an eternity passed for Danzo until the creature moved. It barreled down towards Danzo with violence on its eyes. Danzo could see his death approaching, yet he was unwilling but what could he do? The monster collided with Danzo taking the wall alongside it. What followed was violence like no other as it bit, clawed, and stomped on the old man turning his body into a mess of blood, flesh, and bone.
The monster continued to attack over and over even when there was little else to attack left. Its anger, its rage, its hatred didn't subside but instead grew as the violence grew alongside it. It wanted to destroy, to annihilate whatever remained of the old man. It wanted to erase whatever remained of him. That is when it decided to simply destroy it all. There would be nothing left of the man if there was nothing left at all.
The monster stopped its frenzied attack, then it opened its mouth from it flowed an immense amount of black chakra that became compressed into a quickly spinning ball of destruction. The Kages and those on the know would have recognised it as a bijudama. However, this was no simple bijudama but one fueled by a being seeking to destroy it all.
It grew, the ball of destruction and annihilation grew. From the size of a grain of sand it grew to that of a tennis ball. In its simplest form, that being the grain of sand it would be enough to erase Konoha from the map. Now it would be enough to erase half of the land of fire. However, the monster wouldn't stop now, it wanted to destroy it all and so the ball grew. Now the size of a basketball it would destroy the land of fire and all nearby smaller nations.
"Tomoka stop!" And so the monster stopped.
Nozomi could only watch in Horror as her girlfriend, the light of her life, turned into a monster and yet deep down, despite the fear, she wanted to help her. She saw, powerless, how Tomoka rampaged and killed Danzo. She hated the man, but she hated seeing Tomoka like this even more. She hated the feeling of fear coursing through her body at the sight of what her sun had become.
Paralyzed by fear Nozomi couldn't control her bladder as the smell of ammonia assaulted her nose. She was scared for her life. Would Tomoka kill her in this state? Could Tomoka even turn back? Doubt creeped into her mind like a vile disease, one that highlighted her fear. Maybe it was all a nightmare, maybe she would wake up and everything would be back to normal.
"This is no dream, this is no nightmare." Even though she wanted to believe otherwise, Nozomi kept whispering those words to herself. She knew deep inside that this was real and worse of all was the fact that Tomoka's suffering was real as well. Nozomi saw how the monster began charging an attack. A sphere of death and destruction that would bring the end to all.
"No, she is no monster. I just need to get her back!" Nozomi gathered every single shred of courage she could. She didn't want to give up, not now, not ever, at least not when it came to her sun.
"Tomoka stop!" Nozomi could feel how her body fought against her. She felt her throat trying to clamp up, trying to drown her words. Nozomi was more than aware of how her legs shook under her. However, she wouldn't give up.
Tomoka had stopped, she stayed there, unmoving, the only sign of life being the eyes that now stared towards Nozomi. This was proof enough for the girl that her loved one was still in there somewhere. At that moment Nozomi made her mind, she would get her Tomoka back or she would die trying because a world without her isn't one worth living in.
With difficulty and against all her instincts Nozomi forced her body to walk towards Tomoka. Standing in front of her she felt small, powerless but her resolve wouldn't waver. She would save Tomoka, she has to.
"I don't know what you are going through." Nozomi's throat tried to close up once again. However, this time it happened due to the heartache she felt.
"You have given me so much and yet I feel like I have done nothing for you." She felt hurt. Now that she was this close to Tomoka she could feel it. Nozomi could feel how hurt Tomoka truly was, how broken she truly was. It hurt her to know that her sun, her light, her love carried such a burden silently.
"So please, please let me carry some of that pain for you." Nozomi felt lost and yet she wanted to help with all her heart. Rummaging through her pocket she picked up a piece of paper. Holding it gently she showed it to Tomoka.
"Let that be my request." She couldn't help but give Tomoka a sad smile. She felt useless and yet here she was trying her best to make things better. Perhaps it would all be for naught but at least she had to try. At that moment, when her determination, when her love, when she was prepared to let go of all she is and would be for the one she loves. At that moment her eyes changed.
Her black eyes turned red as three tomoe appeared around the pupil spinning faster with each second. After a moment the tomoe mixed together forming what looked like a flower in Nozomi's eyes. With emotions overflowing from her heart she placed her hands on Tomoka's bony lower jaw.
"Please." With that the ball of death and destruction that had been floating half a meter above Nozomi simply melted into nothingness. Tomoka closed her jaws and yes as a calming presence flowed through her. The burning hatred she had been feeling disappeared as if it had never been a thing.
As the two stayed still Tomoka's monstrous body began shrinking as her figure melted into a black smoke that sipped into the many cuts all over her body. The red head felt tired yet safe as Nozomi kept cradling her face as the two's foreheads touched.
"From now on, I will." That's all Tomoka managed to say before she blacked out.
Nozomi felt a tinge of panic as Tomoka went limp. Thankfully she managed to catch her before she hit the floor. Not knowing what to do, Nozomi decided to put her on the ground and check her injuries. However, as she was about to start checking the many bleeding wounds Tomoka's eyes opened.
"Tomoka, are you okay?" Nozomi felt like hitting herself. Of course Tomoka wasn't okay but before she could say anything else Tomoka answered.
"Thirty two shallow lacerations. Five deep lacerations. Three broken bones. Twenty six torn ligaments. Left lung has been pierced by a rib…" As Tomoka spoke, blood continued to flow from her many wounds and lips.
"Stop! If you are so wounded what are you doing speaking so much!? We need to get you to the hospital as quickly as possible!" As Nozomi moved to grab Tomoka the latter stopped her.
"No need, current body condition is non-critical. Estimated time for full natural recovery is two-hundred and fifty-two hours. I will now proceed to use iryo ninjutsu." Following Tomoka's words a green glow appeared on her palm for a moment before flickering and fading.
Nozomi for her part felt extremely confused. This wasn't Tomoka, at least she didn't feel like the Tomoka she had come to love. No, she felt like a puppet that went through the motions to seem alive.
"Who are you?" Nozomi couldn't help but ask with a bit of trepidation. Had she failed? Had her sun changed into this… thing? Was there a way to have her back? She was scared but she needed to know.
"I am one of Tomoka's phantoms. My assignment is to control the body should the original fall unconscious during a crucial operation." This phantom unlike all others is a bit special as it shouldn't be dispelled unless extremely exceptional circumstances were to occur. Thankfully the whole previous mess hadn't dispelled it even though it was quite close.
"I see. Aren't you going to heal Tomoka?" Nozomi felt a bit awkward. This was the first time she interacted with an emotionless version of Tomoka's phantoms.
"Not possible, the body's chakra pathways have been damaged due to over exertion. Using any sort of ninjutsu, including Iryo ninjutsu, will result in further damage. The chakra pathways should take seventy three hours to fully heal." As she spoke the phantom stood up after looking around.
"I will administer first aid as possible. Then following protocol, I will finish the current mission. Should that not be possible we will leave after planting this." Once it finished talking, the phantom took some paper bombs from one of Tomoka's bags.
"You can't be serious! Tomoka needs medical attention! I won't let you do something as reckless as whatever you want to do with Tomoka's body in that condition!" After shouting so much Nozomi felt a bit winded. This phantom was getting on her nerves.
"Understood. As per protocol Nozomi Uchiha's safety as well as requests take priority." The phantom said once it finished bandaging the many wounds using torn pieces of cloth that came from the many mangled corpses around.
"So are you going to listen to me now?" Nozomi felt a bit complicated due to this turn of events.
"Correct, Nozomi Uchiha's safety and desires take priority as per the original's instructions."
"Erm in that case, we should go to the hospital so you get treated" Nozomi felt relieved and glad Tomoka kept her in mind so much.
"Understood. However, I must advise against such action. The original's life is in no danger at this juncture. Furthermore, going to the hospital in the current state will garner unwanted attention which could lead to further complications." Hearing this Nozomi felt a bit annoyed but listened nonetheless.
"What do you mean she is in no danger! You said she had a pierced lung and who knows how many other injuries!" Nozomi at this point was at the limit of her patience. If the phantom didn't give her a good reason for her words then she would order it to shut up.
"The original's body is extremely resilient. As stated previously through natural regeneration it would take two-hundred and fifty-two hours. However, once the chakra pathways become stable enough the healing process can be accelerated. Over all and including the needed time for the chakra network's recovery the body should reach peak condition in eighty six hours." Hearing this, Nozomi felt puzzled.
"So you are telling me she won't die?"
"Correct, the original's life is in no danger as long as no further grave injuries occur." Hearing this Nozomi felt like an extremely heavy weight lifted off her shoulders.
