章 246: Waiting for Someone

Outside Sylvia's where the sacred circle was taking place, Theo had come to wait. He couldn't stay in his father's office any longer, and there was too much excitement within the pack house itself.

The market was bustling with activity just as the pack house was, and it was only a few blocks away from where Cora and the other females she was with would emerge. Everyone was preparing for the evening's activities. The air itself held a palpable anticipation that made the hair on Theo's arms prickle in response. 

He used to love this. They were social gatherings. There was always good food and music. It was fun—even if he had not participated in the fertility part of the ceremony before. Everything leading up to it was a blast, including the last time they did this. That was until he scented Cora and took off into the night after her, not realizing where it was that he was heading.
