章 167: Chapter 167: Perception

"Master, a spatial distortion anomaly has been detected above the summit of Mount Olympus in Greece, specifically over the Mytikas Peak. This seems different from ordinary physical phenomena. It might be related to the gods and magic you've been searching for."

H'el, who was studying the potential of Superman in the Fortress of Solitude, raised his head, his eyes flashing faintly.

"Olympus? The Olympians? Have I drawn the attention of Earth's gods?"

H'el turned and walked out of the brightly lit laboratory. As he walked, he removed his white coat, revealing the black combat suit underneath with a cape tightly secured to his back. Two researchers hurried to collect the discarded coat.

*Poof*

H'el moved instantly, vanishing from the Arctic Fortress of Solitude.

In the command center, a 360-degree projection of the entire solar system was displayed. H'el appeared in a swift "poof," compressing some gas as he did, arriving in the command center, his black cape settling behind him.

Striding towards the control panel, H'el placed his large hand on it. His skin around the eyes started to bulge with blue veins as he activated the magnifier and the string vision, causing numerous lines to appear in his pupils, intensifying like waves.

"Zero in, receive the string vibrations from my String Vision, and pinpoint the exact space."

String Vision began focusing towards the peak of Mount Olympus in Greece. The particle vibrations instantly transformed into waves in H'el's vision, disrupting his sight with countless chaotic waves.

H'el discarded the waves of particle vibrations and observed the deeper string vibrations of the underlying spatial structure.

Like strings on a violin, their wavelengths accurately matched the length between two endpoints.

The length between these two endpoints indicated the spatial location.

No matter how magical and hidden the magic might be, it was ultimately constructed within the universe. Therefore, the String Vision could determine spatial positions based on the fundamental string wavelength.

Zero received the string vision transmitted by H'el and started outlining the range of wavelengths according to his observations of string vibrations.

Faint threads of light began to "weave" in front of H'el, knitting together like a knitted sweater.

A simplified spatial map, a thousand times larger than the solar system, was being woven by Zero, resembling an oval-shaped watermelon.

"Master, based on the distances of string vibrations, there seems to be a space about a thousand times larger than the solar system, adjacent to Earth. Combining Earth's mythological tales, it's suspected to be a space akin to a heavenly realms, or a fairyland, internally exhibiting intense, numerous unknown particle reactions."

The lines of string vibrations displayed that about half an hour ago, it had been open for a considerable duration, simultaneously exhibiting shallow life signal fluctuations, reacting to an abnormal cluster of individual energy. It was highly likely that over a million entities possessing unknown energy had emerged from this celestial realm.

Based on the intricate wave patterns, Zero gradually projected the life signal fluctuations, attempting to reconstruct the scene from half an hour ago.

An army of densely packed ant-like figures was projected before H'el, as if a well-organized army was concealing their own presence and stealthily emerging.

However, on the fundamental level of space, the residual vibrations of the strings contained a wealth of information, thus making them detectable.

H'el lowered his large hand from the control panel, ceasing the String Vision. The chaotic lines within his pupils reverted, focusing into a divine sight, while his eyes, still bulging with veins, stared at the elliptical 'heavenly' space.

"So, this is another kind of 'magic,' using magic, divine power, and circumventing physical phenomena? A different kind of scientific 'magic'?" H'el fixated on the celestial realm.

Magic, this kind of science, always carried a distant and mysterious nature, untouched and shrouded in mystery.

This form of magical science was the only one capable of harming his existence.

Just like a hundred million terajoules of energy in physics wouldn't affect Kryptonians much.

But a hundred million terajoules of magical energy might inflict sensations upon Kryptonians, causing them discomfort.

While dealing with the Justice League, only the magic of Aquaman, Arthur Curry, managed to cause slight discomfort. Others like Green Lantern Hal Jordan or the Flash didn't harm him.

Magic and physics were entirely different concepts, even involving some twisted physical effects.

It was capable of directly harming Kryptonian physiology, effectively serving as Kryptonians' nemesis. H'el paid significant attention to this form of magical science.

If possible, H'el wanted to study in that heavenly realm, to observe.

But he assumed they wouldn't allow it. Therefore, H'el was ready to collect information. He planned to use the Star Destroyer and the Star Cannon to open their gates and explore inside.

"Was there any anomaly in the solar system?"

H'el suddenly inquired.

Clearly, the reaction on Mount Olympus had proved that gods were mobilizing their forces, apparently to deal with him.

However, they hadn't emerged openly but rather stealthily, which was peculiar.

However, H'el understood the situation in the next moment.

They were probably searching for his location; they either wanted to ambush him or lure him into space combat.

The Earth's location was too crucial; it wouldn't be feasible to engage in warfare on Earth.

Even H'el wasn't willing to engage in combat on Earth; it would be too troublesome. Unforeseen circumstances might escalate into uncontrollable situations.

The battleground would undoubtedly be in space.

"No anomalies. Each Marshal has reconnaissance ships deployed within the Kuiper Belt range, and there haven't been any reports of foreign entities entering the solar system," reported Zero.

In fact, with the willpower technology developed by the Green Lantern Corps, derived from the ancient cosmic era, and the technology of Zero and the Marshal-class battleships, it would be difficult to be detected.

The Green Lantern Corps had evolved into cosmic guardians since ancient times, dividing the universe into 3600 sectors in the name of maintaining universal order. How could they be easily found by H'el's technology?

However, difficult to detect did not mean impossible to detect.

Similarly, even if the Guardians wanted to find Zero hidden on the far side of the Moon, it wouldn't be so simple.

Hiding was easier than seeking.

"No, they've already arrived."

H'el, with bulging veins in his eyes, activated his farsight vision, penetrating and scanning through Zero's mothership, scanning within a range of five light-years from the solar system.

His neck turned slowly, traversing the vast, desolate, and frigid space, yet he found no traces of anyone having come.

"?"

H'el pondered for a moment. Oddly, there were no traces at all.

Once again, he activated the String Vision, and his pupils began to display countless intricate lines of fluctuating waves.

This time, he saw remnants of the Guardians' transiting channel's string vibrations, twisted into loops, lingering near Mars, leaving substantial evidence of spatial transit.

*Swoosh~*

H'el vanished from his spot.
