章 42: BOYS' NIGHT

"Ayaka!" I yelled trying to make her look at me which worked. I quickly held her close to me "I just want you to know that I... I want to be there for you, I want you to depend on me more, I want you to keep believing in me"

Ayaka's face turned red, and she tried to move backward, but the wall restricted her.

"Wh... where is this coming from?" Ayaka asked, rather flustered.

"I just want you to know that you're not alone. I don't care what it is, I'll do anything to protect you" I smiled. "Besides, you were the one who said I was your hero"

"Yo... you re... remember that?" Ayaka tried to hold back her tears as she hugged me tightly, her sharp fingernails pinched into my skin.

"Of course I did, now I want you to rest and leave the rest to me"

"Thank you, Kakashi" Ayaka broke the hug. "The main reason I went after that demon was because I wanted the money for my father's medical bills, he's sick in the hospital, and he doesn't have much time left"

"I understand. Don't worry about the demon, I'll take care of it" I patted Ayaka's head. "Just get more rest and leave the rest for your hero"

I stood up and walked to the door when she called me back.

"Kakashi!" I turned to her. She bowed her head. "Thank you"

"No. Thank you for what you did" I replied before leaving the room to meet Hibiki.

Shit!, I forgot to ask mMissKanade about what Yaze-sensei said.

"Do you know where demons come from?"

"Ahhh!" I yelled angrily, scratching my head. "He was probably just messing with me"

Or was he?

"Hey, Kakashi!" Hibiki called just as I was about to leave the dorms.

"Miss Kanade said you wanted to see me"

"Yeah bro, you won't believe what I just got" Hibiki yelled happily and dipped his hand into his pocket. "I was able to buy the first copy of Summoned Hero on CD"

"Summoned hero?" I asked confused.

"The anime just aired this week, and I was able to get the whole season in advance with a bunch of other action anime too"

Summoned Hero was a manga that later got an anime adaptation, it was about a guy who reincarnated in another world. It has the same plot as other isekai anime, so I don't get why it was so hyped by fans, or maybe I should start reading manga.

"Let me guess, you want us to waste our time watching them instead of training?" I asked with a serious look on my face.

"Yeah," Hibiki nodded anxiously and waited for my reply.

I sighed, Yaze-sensei ordered me to keep practicing the technique he taught me. But, I still need to rest every once in a while, even though I haven't practiced at all.

"Sure" I could learn some things.

"Great, there is no one at home right now... Except for Mira" Hibiki dashed to the gate before jumping on the fence. "Come on, we can get there on foot"

I jumped from where I was standing twice before I got to the gate.

We stopped in front of a house in the residential district, the house was a white duplex with a brown roof, and some flowers were used to decorate the exterior. The fence was so short that you could see the artificial grass that was used to decorate the front yard.

Hibiki knocked at the door after signaling me to watch.

"I'm coming!" We heard Mira answer from inside. And slowly the door opened. "Welcome back, big brother... Ah"

Mira suddenly yelled after she saw me, she was completely naked, except for the apron that she wore. She immediately slammed the door in our faces.

"Wasn't that great?" Hibiki asked.

Hibiki laughed, feeling glad about what he had just done. I was also glad to see that, to think that the Mira who refused to pick a sexy swimsuit has a fetish for her step-brother, makes me wish for a step-sis too.

"But, what was the meaning of that?"

"She always acts like that when we are alone" Hibiki replied. "Let's go watch some anime!"

Maybe I should visit more often.

FOUR DAYS LATER.

I woke up and gently hit the alarm clock, which had fallen off the shelf due to its vibration, but it broke through the floor.

I stood up from the bed and noticed Hibiki's body on the floor, but his legs were on the bed, we were in his room.

The room had a modern look, it was not as big as Miss Kanade's room at the academy, but It was still big. The walls were covered with wallpapers of either sexy anime girls or something I shouldn't mention. There was a bed about two feet long and one and a half feet wide underneath the window, and the balcony was sealed with yellow tape that said 'Do not cross'. And apart from the computer on the table at the other side of the room, it was fairly empty. The computer screen was blank and the CPU had ejected the disc that was in it, we just finished an anime with more than three hundred and 150 episodes in four days straight.

"Bro, wake up" I yelled, and poked him with his slipper since I didn't want to stand.

"Uh?" Hibiki stood up half-awake and walked to the computer. "I'll put the next one"

"What time is it?" I asked, also sleepy.

"9:52 am" Suddenly Hibiki eyes widened. "Monday!"

"What!, Monday" I jumped out of bed. "The exchange program is today!"

We quickly ran out of the house and stopped at the gate.

"Just stand still, I got this" Hibiki said as he placed his hand on his palm and interlocked his thumb, opening the rest of his fingers wide. It was a bird. " Beast summoning technique: phoenix eagle"

The screeching of an eagle echoed throughout the area.

An eagle suddenly grabbed me by my shirt and flew away in the direction of the academy.
