They each had different expressions on their faces that would have made me burst into laughter if the situation had been different.
Rickie wore a look of suspicion, Ben wore a look of fear and wonder, but it was Cedric's expression that puzzled me. He had a look that could be mistaken for relief and concern, but I found it hard to believe. I just couldn't believe that Cedric would care for someone as insignificant as me.
My head began to hurt again, this time more violently, and I felt myself slipping out of consciousness.
"Get someone to call the royal physician immediately!" I heard Cedric order as I lost consciousness.
I can't say how long I was unconscious, but when I opened my eyes again, I saw only Cedric standing and staring at me with an inexplicable expression.
"Finally, you are awake," Cedric said, sounding almost relieved.
"How long have I been unconscious?" I asked him.
